The power gains on the IX versus the VIII are incredible. Sick run, bro. Oh, and I hate you.

Nice runs Danimal!!

Stock IX's dyno at 220-230 on Doug's Mustang Dyno and about 255-260whp on my Dynojet, so about a 10-15% difference. 321whp on that particular Mustang Dyno would probably be 360whp and 380-390ft-lbs on my dyno, which would put him right at about 116-117 trap speeds.

Thanks to Doug Derby for all of the dyno time and all the effort during that flash weekend.

You got me thinking about putting my stock cat-back on and just getting a test pipe. I hate loud exhaust, how loud is your setup?

it's very quiet, stock sounding, but you can hear a lot of air moving.

I under stand "project stealth" and wanting it quiet but quick.
But, all those mods and still running a restrictive stock Cat back and Muffler is just NUTTS!!!

A 3” In / Out (Magnaflow 36" Muffler) is just as quiet if not more then stock with out choking the power you spent good $$$ to make.

My BIG 36"

I have a stock evo8 muffler on my evo1. I like quiet as well. My car sounds factory stock in the cabin. It just went 11.9 at 118 with a crappy 1.95 60ft. This is on a 20g at 21.7psi. My 10.2 mirage has the mangnaflow and is no where near as quiet. The factory muffler by the way is quite large by the way. Almost 3" on the inside.

And your magnaflow is not 36". Its only 14".

me too, i almost got everything he has except the LICP, GSC cam and i'm going to buy an 02 housing soon (at least i make it up with my turboback )...so it looks like that ebay one does the job but i'm just concerned for how long until it cracks or leaks, I dunno. I just don't trust stuff that ppl sell on ebay sometimes, except if it's a brand name item but it could be fake too, who knows???

Also the tuning part is what most important in every case IMO. Lucky that you have AMS so close to ya!

I don't know why you guys worry about the ebay O2 housing. They all look similar sold off of ebay. If they break, which seems to be rare. Get a new one. You of course could always get a nice cast Works O2 housing that is known to loose power instead. Or even the Invidia. AMS close to Dan? Dan lives in Vegas.
This is a good example of a known combination that works. Now car owner B. wants the same results, but insists on deviating away with different brand parts for his car. In todays car age its so easy to build a well running package. Others have done all the ground work. But with so many parts choices car owners get confused and end up with a hodge podge setup that doesn't perform. But then again, choices are what keeps the car parts industry in business.

If my 36" Muffler is as long as a "YARD STICK", How is it only 14"?
"Yard Stick" = "3 Feet" = 36"

Part# 14591

5" x 11" x 36” Oval Center/Center Polished Stainless Steel Universal Muffler
