How do you currently have your 2 step set up with the AEM? If you're using a switched input from the clutch switch then just move the VSS conditional to 255mph. Then your 2 step settings will be active during the shifting when you clutch.

^ Thanks, i beleive he is using his clutch switch to control 2step...
2step input = "switch is always on", maybe this only turns on 2step & it is then activated by vss.

i asked him to move his vss to 255 & he said that the car was extremely slow???

that maybe why his car was slow with vss @ 255.....2 step was still on!

i wonder if there is a way to activate a dash light when the clutch pedal is depressed to see if aem is reconizing the clutch switch....

i have read that there should be a clutch wire change in order to get this to work correctly.....his car is a '05.

2step input = "switch is always on", however i dont know what "switch" actually is...i need to verifiy.

i asked him to move his vss to 255 & he said that hte car was extremely slow??? i am not certain as to why. maybe he uploaded that log & I can view it/post it....maybe his 2step isnt activated off the clutch switch & is only activated off vss????

that maybe why his car was slow with vss @ 255.....

"switch is always on" means that it isn't using the clutch switch. That is just a quick, easy way to get the 2 step working based off the VSS conditional. So if you had the VSS set at max of 10mph then it means the car will 2 step at WOT if the VSS is under 10mph (regardless of whether the clutch is in or not).

That works fine for launching but you can't no lift to shift the car that way because if you move the VSS to 255 with "the switch is always on" then the car would just 2 step the entire time! You need to interrupt the wire coming from the clutch switch and run it into 1 of the AEM's switched inputs. That way, the AEM can recognize whether the clutch is in or out to initiate the 2 step in between shifts.
