11s on pump gas 93oct!!
Don't make the mistake of getting an act now. You got an evo so you have to spend the money. Aight. I'll see you out there in a couple of months when Bella is ready. LMAO!

Really bro its just money. I aint got deep pockets like my dad. Need to get the turbo which its a ******* for now intake manifold and fuel pumps and lines. We also have to throw in the motor. I'm hoping a good contender. LOL. If I don't blow it up.(CAUSE BOOST IS FREE) So after the holidays. Maybe my dad Will be a good guy and throw in some money.
No, that is nowhere close to average of what you see on the West Coast. I doubt you've EVER seen an Evo run 11.7 or 11.8 with only 113mph traps, so there's no chance you see that on average. Most people running 11.7-11.8s are trapping 117+. Of course, this is Oscar, so his driving is great, but the traps do indicate some knock on the top-end. 360+whp should be 115-116mph traps, especially with the weight reduction and no wing, but the traps may be affected by top-end knock or by extremely low tire pressure. The ETs are great, so the power numbers look right, but the traps are off for a currently unknown reason.
Aren't you trapping 12.0X @ 113mph on meth injection, 30psi and cams with a Dynoflash tune BTW?

I would also suspect clutch slippage on the NLTS 3rd to 4th.
360whp + taller tires + high boost = higher load stress on a stock clutch.
But only the driver can confirm this.
Knockng up top is also a possibility. Wished the run was logged.
Otherwise...Great driving. Nice times.

Got it.
RACEMAN did state he POWERshifts it. ( Gas pedal on the floor, maybe half throttle, between shifts )
So wouldn't that be a worse load on the stock clutch while shifting?
Every time someone complains about 'low mph' vs the et's, It seems they have to be reminded that IX's have different gears than VIII's and the mph will be lower. That is no reflection on the tune or performance. It's just a fact. OKIX's car was ridiculed for 'low mph' and as the et's kept getting lower, I didn't hear it so much. Posters need to consider all of the facts and how they relate to the performance of the car. The ET is the most important fact. period.

Although he is also running a slightly taller tire at 245-45-17.
Don't know if it should matter ( I'm no mathematician ) but 1/2" more diameter would help offset the 8's 1.03 vs 9's 1.09 gearing (4th).
By no means I'm not knocking the ET or mph. This actually give me hope to cut my own times even more with some real FAST azs shifting. But that will never happen.
Good point.

Riding the car in fourth gear for the trap it gets it out of the fat powerband sooner than the longer gearing of the VIII, thus actually having less power, thus explaining the low traps... a fourth gear from the EVO VIII will solve this problem...

It definitely helps! with the taller tire at the same rpm he gets higher speed, i think 2mph at the same rpm...

I dont see how really that is when i have seen other members here with Evo IXs do 11.8-11.7@116+ not any different than my car.. You ran 12.14@114.2, higher trap than mine, my car trapped 113 and it went 11.7, it doesnt make sense, something is happening somewhere. The taller tires from what i have read actually help with mph if im not mistaken

The taller tires DEF help.
I am really curious to see that the issue is but to tell you the truth i mostly believe is slippage... i said something before on a previous post. 4th gear higher load, already heated up clutch from launch, thus slight slippage up top which keeps traps low...
last time i ran the car decent pass over pass the traps instead of going up as i was tuning on racegas they were going down or staying the same, but after each pass i could smell the clutch and finally at the end the car was slipping like an automatic!!! Of course 0 knock and everything was perfect...
