Time to bump AMS up to the top with that 10.1 they pulled.

 

What did I do wrong, besides everything?

If I didn't bog like crazy off the line, I slipped the clutch. So after smelling roasted clutch, I settled for bogging off the line.

First one is my first 1/4 mile EVER. Second was first elimination for my bracket, I noticed he was so far back in my rear view at the 1/8 mile that I couldn't see his head, so I let go of the gas and coasted. Third was my second elimination where I bogged horribly off the line and couldn't catch up.

Btw, not bad trap speeds on stock turbo, 93 octane? Going E85 soon, along with a clutch that'll handle some power off the line and hopefully bring my 60 fts under 2.2?

Edit: I was 645, obviously... but the first race was against a bone stock IS-F

Hey bro regarding your pm, I had the same issues. Then remebered from my subaru days of spinning at the line keeps u in boost. So first time at track smelt clutch real bad. So in the old days i would cut low low 1.6s on all season on my wrx's. So I sold the advans for some good year gt's. Especially around here in case i drive in the cold fall or spring or winter. Also i used to bump the tire psi to close to 40 warm. Did that last time at track and ran best time , an no clutch stink all day musta made 10 plus passes. Dropping the clutch at LC.

I haven't been here since April so I haven't kept up on times. I expected to see a BUNCH of new times and to be moved well off the list. I'm ready to take that #1 spot here in a couple weeks

 

If I hook up and learn to drive I think I will be able to get close to the top spot

My car should be 10's capable after my build is ready.

Its a car that we built for road racing and decided to test it in the Dragstrip, it will most likely not be seen dragracing again........until AMS release the 900X Turbo Kit then we will attack the Drag again and do 9s

 

9's? You mean 8's?
