Top 20 Fastest/Quickest Stock Appearing Turbos for 2013!
#61
Now fast forward one month later to last night where I got a chance to finally run my new trans with the taller final drive. Gearing problem is solved as I should be able to do over 145MPH at the top of 4th now on the new gearing.
First shot out:
BlueX / 05/01/13 / ATP Turbo / Evo X / ATP GTX3582R, pistons, rods, cams, E85, Hoosier DRs, 38 PSI / 138.358 MPH
140+ MPH here I come!
Just gotta learn how to get out of the hole without spinning all 4 for so long!

I need to do some more testing in the next few weeks to get it ready for the Buschur shootout. I think i'm going to see what the turbo has in it and crank it up. If I have anything to do with it I'll be bringing 9's on a stock block to the stock appearing class.

Thanks man, it's nice to finally be making some progress. It's still the same weight. I actually changed the way I was launching the car, and played with the tire pressure and managed to finally get my 60' down in the 1.5's. The only other thing I changed was I swapped the manual boost controller out for a Grimmspeed 3-port because my boost was tapering from 35 to 30 by 8000.

Good stuff, I was on my phone & didn't look at your 60 fts on the slips. .2XX quicker 60 ft will definitely help cut the ET down, which you saw. I imagine the higher mph is due to the Grimmspeed holding boost better up top. What does the car currently weigh, she still pretty much full weight?
I'm not exactly sure what it weighs currently. The last time I weighed the car it weighed 2900 lbs with a 1/4 tank of fuel, no driver. Since than I installed the drag brakes which saved 40 lbs, and different wheels which were 15 lbs lighter per corner. I'm estimating the car weighs 2800 lbs without driver now.
It's still full interior, a/c, power steering, full exhaust, etc.. I have no intentions of gutting the car as I drive it on the street regularly. It actually still has the stock unported intake manifold, throttle body, and ignition system on it.
