Ok, it seems there is some controversy here.
1.61 60ft
100.00 mph 1/8 mile
10.6 1/4 mile
123 mph at 7700-7800 rpm
In my experience you can't achieve a 10.6 run with a 1.61 60ft and 100mph in the 1/8th and still have a slow trap speed of 123mph. Here is an example of one of my runs with my 753 whp Camaro.
1.49 60ft
109 mph in the 1/8th
10.26 1/4
132 mph
This is with no spin and the front wheels 2 feet in the air. It's hard for me to believe (just my opinion) that he is only 4 tenths slower with 420-470 hp and a much lower 1/8 and 1/4 mile speed. Another engine combination I had set the dyno at 478whp and I ran 11.0's at 124 mph all day long. I must agree with someone's earlier comment that the stats reference an 11.6, not a 10.6. I understand something broke, hence the low mph, but given the 60ft and 1/8 mph, it seems unrealistic to make up all that time between 660' and the time it broke (if it broke), maybe the 1100' mark.
If you plug in the numbers, it takes 720hp for a 3400lb car to run a 10.6. Like i said, my opinion. I hope I'm proven wrong with a back up run in the near future. Regardless, anything in the 11's is excellent!

If it's legit then Congrats... but I definately don't see that adding up to a 10.6...
You say he made another run what was the e/t and trap speed on that run ??
I've run
1.84 60ft
101.5mph 1/8th
11.50 1/4
121.84 1/4 my car ran super lean up top I normally go like 98-99 to 123-123 in 1/4
Or my friends stock twins rx7
1.48 60ft
99.7 1/8th
10.98 1.4
122 mph
Something doesn't add up.. perhaps the lights could have been tripped? Errors happen at tracks for example yesterday I ran 10.72 @ E-Town... with an 11.34 1000ft ..

RNR, do you know what his 1/8 mile time was?
You know, someone was saying in another post that at English Town Dragway this past weekend there was an Evo that ran an 8.8 1/4 mile, at least that's what the timing lights and slip said. Unfortunately, he was unable to back that up. I believe the post mentioned a leaf tripped the et lights. It happens.

, yea true, but most of us will be a tranfer case away too!!! and several clutches and trannies....
Well, I hope it's not that dramatic, but it looks like it is. I want a 10 sec car on stock tranny and most stock engine. Possible? Damn...it would be nice to see alot fo 10 sec evos.....Now that 10 second evo will be 10 seconds street monster too...Woah, I can't imagine how many stangs and supras and cameros and neon srt and vipers and continue down the list...
stock evo VIII with a half a tank of gas and no driver, tips the scales at around 3250lbs (as weighed at the dragstrip), add a 200lb driver and you'll be at about 3450lbs.
Out of curiousity why do you think the power dropped dramatically after 7K rpm? Our evo with stock head & springs kept climbing in power until the stock redline, and if you look at Road Race Engineerings dyno pulls on their greddy kit, they ran 32?psi with stock valvetrain and the power didn't fall off at redline.
