BMW has a school in SC (I know, long drive, but maybe worth it). Lime Rock is Skip Barber's home track and is all new thanks to them. There's a good school at Watkins Glen near Rochester but I can't remember what group it is. There's plenty out there, but check those first.

You can go to Skip Barber at Lime Rock it’s closest to you. I’ve been there and can vouch for the excellent instructors. They also go to Watkins Glen too that is where I did my first Skip Barber race weekend.

The other is Team O’Neil Rally school in NH. I went to Ivor Wigham’s Rally school in FL instead.

You will have a lot of fun at either and learn the car control you want and more.

Old thread, but Skip Barber travels around too, so you can check out their website for schedule. I believe they came down to NJMP twice last summer. I'm planning to attend the one in Atlanta this. My brother doesn't live too far from Road Atlanta. The SCCA also holds schools for novice drivers teching solo autox techniques. The Philly region is having one mid-May. Also check out the Bondurant school.

+1 for Skip Barber.

I did the one-day driving school with them at Lime Rock back in 2004 and the 3-day MX-5 Racing School with them last year at Laguna Seca.

All good stuff and the instructors are top notch.
