Magnaflow Ti cat back exhaust
Test pipe (unknown manuf.)
Helix Down pipe 3"
DNP Headers
MR bypass BOV

Walbro 255 pump
Helix o2 housing

Hi Al

Would it make a difference if I get the Helix o2 housing after the flash. Would I need to send over the computer for a reflash after this install?
Thanks

Some update...!!

Hello Al :

Here is some update from last night....
Well I went to the Dyno last night and was able to get some 268-AWHP. Now I got some baseline for when the Dynoflash is done.
This was using my current mods which are as follow :

K&N Typhoon Air Intake
Megan Racing downpipe
Megan Racing High Flow cat
ATR Cat-back
Greddy Profec B 1
SAFC-2

The profec B was (is) set at 1.4 bar with 93-octane pump gas.

I got some other mods in plans, like the headers, O2 housing and the Walbro fuel pump.... and couple of other goodies which I will let you know later once I got then and install them.

Please let me know what you think...!!??

Thanks,

Miguel

Al, posting this because I saw on Thursday a problem with a Tuner from Element Tuning on Subaru's.

Phil did not have a wideband to tune for AFR since the Hydra is supposed to have one, but problem is if someone bought the Hydra without the Wideband they're basically screwed since Phil doesnt carry a wideband.

Question:
How will you tune our AFR? You carry a Wideband for all cars or any specs you need? I saw most of your dyno charts but our dyno doesnt read AFR.

Let me know on this, got already like 5 calls asking me the same and I have no idea.

Cheers,
Randy

Randy - best regards - I carry two back up widebands with me and also I am able to use the wideband on the dyno jet as well which is what I prefer when dyno tuning

BTW - I also carry 4 sets of flashing cables - a totally loaded back up computer and a copy of my softwear and flashing files with me everywhere I go so equipment issues arenot issues

I would suggest a FORGE re-circulating bov to replace that HKS unit (I sell them for $150) The HKS usually has terrible driveability

Also - I would advise the HKS RS Intak kit which would be god for 10 - 12 whp on your car

The 02 housings are very nominal gains.

My own perference is the Buschur Racing ported and coated stock 02 housing

Hi Al

What cam gears would you recommend.
I'm looking at the Fidenza.
Also what would be your advice in the cam gear adustment +/-

Looking for balance between low end power and top end, with good torque.

Thanks

Al please give some advice on cam gears. I'm running full 272 now and want to correct idle a little bit. I been searching the forums and -4 in. -1 ex. is very common but i have read -2in -2 ex is common also but most on the west side crow using 91 octane fuel. What do you recommend or do you just dial the gears on the tuning session as the tune goes.

Adjustring cam gears on the dyno mostly invloves moving the tq curve up and down the rpm band.

Im most cases, I can significantly improve your idle quality with the flash. BOV's and boost leaks can dimish idle quality.

As a last resort we can smooth out the idle with the gears

The dual stage is acutally quite effective - just make sure your gas tank is on the very low side when we start the dyno tuning as you want to make sure its mostly all C-16 when you pour that in

But we will make a tunning for 93 octane right?
I mean what I used to do with my WRX was get my tunning on 93 pump til my tank had less than 1/4 of gas then pour the C16 and then work like that, since I will always have some 93 on my tank because Salinas Speedway is kinda far away from my house

Let me know how you want it to be, if it is too much trouble I'll do 93 octane only and maybe add some Sunoco 104 even with 93 on the tank. You decide man, let me know and thanks for your time.
