I installed the exhaust last night with the test pipe in and so far i haven't had an over boosting problem and no fuel cut. Thats without the MBC on too, which i will be doing tonight. I have kept my eye on the stock 1.5 bar boost gauge and the highest its gone up to is probably 1.4-1.45 bar, i don't think i've pegged the gauge yet. 1.4-1.45 bar is still higher then what i was boosting without the exhaust but like i said no fuel cut yet and i have definitely brought the car up to redline since i put the exhaust on. Maybe i am one of the few that won't see the over boost problem. Overall the exhaust is awesome and i suggest that anyone looking into getting exhaust to buy it. I have had a little problem with the slip fit sections and the band clamps but i will work on that more tonight and hopefully fix the leak i have. Besides that the exhaust looks good, sounds good, and made good power on my otherwise stock car besides a K&N drop in filter. Later

I have this TBE set-up w/ cat. It is a very nice exhaust. Sounds great; it's got a raspy sound in the lower revs but once you get up past 3kish it's so smooth sounding. I can mentally see the engine spinnig it sounds so smooth. I swear if I could count up to 7600rpms (which I hit the limiter on the way home on Sat...oops), I could count every fire. $825 for a TBE ain't too shabby, either.
Anyway, from what Dave and Jarrod told me, a stock 05 8 will put down about 205-208hp on their dyno. My car, with drop in, MBC, 255fp, TBE, and dyno-flash did a nice 260 hp/ 261 tq. on their dyno @20ish lbs. 50+ whp on Bush's dyno is pretty good, in my opinion.
My car now feels like it should have from the factory - where it pulls hard to redline rather than flat spotting.

Sorry I probably sould have explained this better currently I have the Works 3" Cat-back, Works HFC, Helix Downpipe,HPF full intake, MBC, 255 fuel pump and im dynoflashed custom tuned for that. Now what im asking is when I change to the BR Bullet catback is it going to go lean.
Now Al recomended me this exhaust and said already that I would be fine switching it out and not need a retune (when I was getting tuned). I just wanted to make sure.

I had to add a whole lot of fuel on this particular car from my normal base map so I suspect this muffler is really a big flow gain

Hmmm. I'd probably defer to Al on this one. Hopefully you're running a little on the rich side because of the Walboro and there's enough margin to put on the muffler without a tune. Let us know what Al says.
The main thing (post #93) about the band clamps is they have to be TIGHT! The clamp should actually form to the tubing when it is tight enough. Generally in impact is the best way to install the clamps. Do that and your "troubles" will be over.
Thanks for all the great comments on our exhausts!
