BTW, all we need is three more custom tunes and the price is $475!! I know there are three more people out there!!

In fact, there are three more people on the list, I'll send some PMs out today. If you guys know anyone pass the word along. I know it's only $20 but lets get Al as much business as possible. Then he's more likely to want to return.

PM me if anyone needs info.

I'm cool with Brandon or wherever, but the only times I've been pulled over in Tampa it's right where you mention. Once right by the cross-town and once just north of Apollo Beach. There are way too many retired people down that way and the police are usually out in force. Not to mention the helicopter that snagged my friend down there! I personally would be a little nervous speeding around down there. Something as desserted as possible would be best. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, we have to be able to turn around easily; north of 54 all the exist are easy on/off and there are some rest stops.

Either way, anywhere is fine by me. Just my 2 cents. Man this is gonna be fun!
I agree it will be fun - lets see what some other guys have to say on the location and I will consult a map as well

Yeah, I think we all agree on I-75. We're mostly trying to decide whether north or south of Tampa would be best. I can't even think of another major highway in Tampa that would fit the bill.

BTW, Al, just to clarify. The spots I suggested and NOVA suggested are on the same stretch of highway. He's just talking about 15-20 miles south of where I suggested. That's why I said it doesn't matter so much. If one spot is bad we can cruise to the other.

Any other ideas anyone?

jab,

SR54 to SR56 or Bruce B Downs right off of I75 sound good, There is a Windgate hotel at BBD and I75 isnt there?

I agree that area is less congested on the interstate and since I live near there I know SR 56 is usually empty and has a 55mph limit.

If we have a problem with a location for installs, I will offer up my house if needed.
Plenty of parking and a decent garage set-up (no lift) but plenty of air tools!
-Don't tell my wife!

Just an idea.

I think we should do it around the exit at SR 54 off I-75. This location is good because there is no traffic ever, and also it is reletively easy to get to. Brandon is 25 min- downtown Tampa is 25 min - New Tampa 5-10 min, South Tampa 30 min, Temple Terrace 20 min.
Plus there is a decent Hotel, Holiday Inn express, with a huge empty lot right next to it! There is several resturants in the area, Cracker Barrel, Outback steakhouse, Applebees, Denny's (breakfast), Beef O Brady's and of course all the fast food stuff.

I have a question bout the fuel pump, should I put it now or the day before the tuning?
I'm running Speed Source intake, TXS HPBC(20psi), Tanabe DP, UR cat and Perrin CB.
Thanks...

Yeah, I'm installing my pump right before the visit. I'm going to do it on probably Wednesday; so that I'm sure it's working and have time to back out if not. I'll just stay outta boost on Thursday and Friday (as hard as that will be).

As for location, I think the concesus so far is with I-75 north of SR54 as was the original plan, but we'll see who else chimes in. All the things mentioned above are the reasons I chose that area. I think it's as good as we're gonna get in Tampa.

Thanks for the responses guys!

No more ideas for locations? Either speak your mind or we're gonna decide for you? j/k

If you have a location in mind that would be good for tuning please give us some feedback. We want to make sure to find the most effective and convenient spot possible.

Thanks!

Is there still room for me to sign up or are all the spots taken? I just need to make sure I will be in town that weekend but other than that I'm in.

With all the street racing that goes on at the Gandy bridge I don't think it's a wise idea. Also, during the day there is a whole lot of traffic and it's only two lanes. I think we should avoid Gandy personally. Just my opinion.
