Dave,

This is very informative to me as i'm about to decide/formulate my opinion about Dynoflash

from personal experience and posts like this.

As we all have rights to relate our good and not so good experiences from different tuners

I believe this beneficial to Evo. community as we spend our money, we deserve to have quality result not only performance aspect but Good service as well.

Good luck.

Lets remember this thread was not started by an Evo owner but a friend of an Evo owner. The owner did come onto this thread and express his results.
There is always someone to bash someone on this site it gets old. Dynoflash this Vishnu that....
Anyway there are 700 something other Dynoflash customers who are extremly happy with there results. Remeber that when you read this thread posted by someone else who does not even own an Evo.

since reading this post i can see that Al doesnt know all the in's and out's of tunning.

i had a custom street tune done by Al at the 1st LA meet.. he installed the wide band o2 sensor behind the cat converter ... i was like hmm you are not going to get a accurate reading since the cat cleanes up the air fuel ratio.. his comment to me was it is...my current A/R's are 11.1 and my car didnt make anymore power. i ran my car at the track and i lost 3mph and time.. hmm i am installing a AEM uego guage soon so ill see what my A/R's are then and post them up. i did see him put off people when i was there so i can contest to his customer service (not)...

i do find it hard to beleave that all these cars with the same mods make such diffrent power.

This what makes this thread unique. The guy does not even own an EVO and he spent and wasted his valuable time to explain to EVO owners what he saw, heard and felt.

Actually that was not my friend but another owner of an evo there.. He has un-resolved issues with Al and i respect his desicion not to disclose all the info at this time..

I am not sure what it matters what car i drive? I have no interest in Al either way so i would think my opinion should mean that much more since i have nothing to gain or lose by it.. I am not bashing anyone, i am telling it like it is. Alot of those 700 reflashes are from people who have never even seen Al, and alot are from people who do not know the most about cars and who blindly follow someone because they have a 650whp evo. Lets face it the BIGGEST reason for the reflash is because you can set it and forget it, people who are more involved in their own car opt for something more like a utec or AEM..

I respect your opinion on my write up, as i hope you respect mine on the situation.. I am trying to help not start ****..

If Al is such a good tuner, and can spew out a thousand reasons why a car is low on power, why doesn't he help diagnose and fix it?? A car should be in perfect mechanical shape before even wasting time on a dyno. Tuning is far more than just playing around w/ timing and A/F's. I wish people would see that before wasting time and money on these dyno days.

I think a major point of the original post is that some customers swallow dismissive conclusions ("your car is just weak", "your car has mechanical issues") at face value, believing they need this intake or that boost controller to make power, or worse yet going home believing they have the best tune possible for their car and mods, when in fact their tuning session was simply railroaded in the interest of time. That's not to say anything of the general attitude described.

When he came to LA he spent 3 hours on my custom tune untill it was perfect..with about 12 3rd gear pulls all with his laptop adjusted setting on every pull...I saw it everytime,he is rough around the edges but thats ok,as long as my AFR are 11.1 and not pulling timing im happy...

Sorry some people are having bad luck with the guy but with me was pretty cool and car feels good... The guy made my car run great, beat my buddies older cobra on a roll by 4-5 cars, this is just my experience and 2 cents

I've done my share of tuning modified cars and its not easy but backseat tuners are pretty lame. Its the same with troubleshooting a PC, everybody's an expert.

I just go to the 1320 tracks and see all the 13 sec Dynoflashed Evos. That is enough empiracal evidence for me.

Yeah, he used the broken turbo excuse at XS in So Cal on the BR 500 kid. I remember him saying I got it tuned pretty good being that something is wrong with the turbo. It just keeps losing power because the turbo is broken. Heard that one also. He is an Ex Lawyer and they are known for heavy doses of conjecture to fool the juries or judge and win cases.FWIW Al is losing this case.
