The degree of study Mitsubishi is willing to embark on to learn the mod history of every car is ridiculous.
Wow. That's enlightening. But not that surprising.

Let me add this on the subject - I bought my car 7/03. The very first event I attended at Englishtown,
we busted a guy that was writing down lic. plate numbers and VINs on every Evo there.
I don't think he worked for Ford.

It didn't occur to any of us what he was doing until he beat a hasty retreat.
The evos were fairly new, so there were lots of folks milling around taking pics and stuff.

i see im not getting any response from DynoFlash. I have read somewhere where Al would not issue a refund. Well, let me tell you, great customer service. Im taking my car to Turbotrix and getting 2 runs on thier dyno, if my car come out with more than 5WHP less than what AL dynoed me at, well that will prove with his flash is worth.

What do you want from Al? Why should he be responsible for YOU moddifing your car and getting the warrantee revoked. Why not start acting like a grown man and accept that Mitsu had a valid reason for revoking you powertrain warantee. Flash or not it wouldn't be hard for them to find a reason to revoke your warantee.

BTW - Nice 60' time I bet that wasn't hard on the tranny, clutch, rear diff, or x-case at all.

Just to let you know I road race my evo and it is also modified. My car has never been to the dealership for service because I do all the work myself and do very routine maitenance to ensure every keeps working properly. If I break something I will never take my car to Mitsu and expect them to fix it under warantee.

Words to live by:

"You break it, you buy it", a nice Asian lady told me that once in Macy's when I was 8 yrs old

****n' Toooooners pi$s me off.

I asked you earlier in the post to contact me vis telephone or PM - NO CONTACT fromk you. Obviously you are trying to stir up dome drama and have no interest in getting your car working properly.

NO DOUBT the reason why you still did not contact me is that you stubbornly still have refused to properly hook up your boost controller lines and change your leaking bov

The last time we spoke - over a month ago now you were complaining the car was "going slower and slower" every day and yet you admitted you had still neglected to swap the bov and re-route the bost controller hoses

Obviously - when we test drove your car on the road - it needed a upgraded bov - the car is not going to run properly until the bov is repaired

AFTER you repair the bov - if the car is still having any problem - you call me - bring the car down and we re-tune or fix the car as needed to resolve any issues.

As for your claims that your warranty was voided due to your Dyno Flash - I find that very hard to believe.

I suspect - IF your warranty was voided it would have been more likely to your other obvious bolt on power modifications - SUCH AS A BOOST CONTOLLER which is a little easier to spot

I am sorry that you are having these problems - however your sturbborn refusal to replace your leaking bov makes it all but impossible for your car to run well

Please contact me directly if you need any help

He offers a limited warranty. You have a certain amount of time to ask for a refund which I am sure has expired. You sound like that other clown on here who wanted a refund but wouldn't send his ECU to Al. I need a new XBOX; wonder if I can go buy one and then return it for a refund but keep the XBOX? Hmmm. Anyway, I digress.... You modded your car. You are responsible for what happens to the car after you modify it. Nobody but you is responsible for your warranty being denied and many people have told you that the stealership was BSing you. Just because you got pissy he should give you a refund?

Thanks for your support UFO - this siutaion is a very sad one. It seems that the customer is not having a good experience which makes me disapointed. However - I asked him to contact me vis telphone to discuss his concerns and he refuses to contact me. As in any situation - as a customer you can get a much more positive resolution when you give a vendor a chance to resolve your issues. In this case it seems the customer does not elect to follow my suggestions on the new bov and hose routing on the mbc which was both cuasing a major boost falling off on his car - which I agree 100% made it run like crap.

The path to resolving the problem is simple - install the new bov and come back for a retune / check on the dyno to verify its working properly

ALL I can do is offer to help these people - some are very stubborn

That is the damndest truth ever. Everyone who modifies a car better have a seperate stash of cash just for unforseen repairs.

On the note, I did the custom tuned dynoflash. Felt great the day I got it, and feels even better today. I just need a new clutch (Al taught me how to launch - i blame him ). Every Evo is different and reacts differently to every reflash. No car with the same mods will react the same as another car with the same exact mods. This is why I dont think that mail in reflash is a good idea. Each car needs to be custom tuned to see how it reacts to the flash.

Also, here is an example of why a car might run sh!tty. I normally fill up 93 octane BP gas and usually never have problems with my car. Right before Hurricane Frances - I was forced to fill up 93 octane at a Marathon Gas Station. Now after doing that I swear to god, my car started pinging up top. It would pull some timing and I felt the hesitiation. My dynoflash was done to accomodate 93 octane gasonline.

Good Luck

omfg. That is plain dirty. This is a good reason why is going out of business soon. Pulling dirty stunts like this is not promoting sales but doing just the opposite. Stories like this make me even more uneasy for modding my car. I do know when my warranty expires, im going to have to find a great shop that can work on my Evo when it has issues. But this is just plain wrong. I'd kick that guy's @$$.
