My seals start leaking at about 8psi. but i can still hit 29psi. I have the new seals to replace, im just lazy.

I think it just depends on how bad the leak is. Have you done a boost leak test yet?

No leak test yet, but being a technician, I can't see a car being able to boost that high with a boost leak present. Just wondering how faulty seals impact the boost level. I wouldn't think that I would be able to boost past a max of 10-15 with a boost leak.

take the MBC apart and clean all the parts and put some lithium grease on the inards

I had the same problem and my mbc was kinda stuck due to it sitting in my house for a min.

When the forge MBC would act up (spiking or low, low boost levels) I would clean it and coat it with mobil1 synth grease which always cleared it up. I haven't done it in a while because it hasn't had those same symptoms as before. No harm in doing that though. I haven't done it in a while so it's due but I don't see it clearing up the issue. I think I just need a new BOV and MBC and call it a day. F the BS. I'm going to try the buscher MBC and forge rs bov. If that doesn't work then I've got issues.

You guys may also want to check that you are using the correct spring for the MBC as I have seen quite a few over the past two weeks with the softersprings not allowing over 21 on the hallman..

Before I crushed my stock bov I was max 26- 27.5 psi (inconsistent)and now I hit 30 with no ecu boost control changes. A boost leak in the form of bov not holding boost in this case can show more than 10-15psi in this instance

I think I figured it out. I went for a cruise and all of a sudden BANG- 29psi. I did it again to make sure I wan't seeing things. I arrived at the destination and my buddy f'd with the boost controller- but put back to where it was. I leave my friends place and no more 29psi- only 25. I believe the MBC is acting up. Obviously after that nice psi run the bov is able to hold the boost because on those two runs it held very nice. Only tapered about 3-4 psi on those high psi runs. I want my boost back! Time to clean the mbc or a new mbc. "All" I want is 420hp. That's my magic number- and believe me, with that extra boost, I'm pretty sure I could hit that number.

Where did you get the spring from? I have the same mbc. Off topic, but is there a consensus on the "best" Mivec map for higher boost and e85? I have mine slowly tapering down after about 3500 rpm.
