i love reading this thread so much stuff to learn from.
i know no one has posted for a while,but on a side note people that are having issues with the evo x's need to look at the fuel pump relay.
i found on my buddys car that he could not tune past 21 psi after installing a new detchwerks fuel pump 880 injectors and fp black.

it would be fine for 2 pulls then the afr wouldnt play nice and we couldnt figure out why.well the relay is the issue.Anyone know of a replacment relay that actually works lol?other then that he may just hardwire the pump in...will be loud as hell but if it works w/e.

By adjusting my lat's lower down from stock, I seem to notice that my WOT AFRs are richer. Is this common? FWIW- 1450cc FIC, 2.3L, SD, E85 tune.

Yes, lowering the latency will make it richer, raising them equals leaner.

It's the opposite with scaling, higher is leaner and lower is richer.

Other way around.

Less latency is leaner, more is richer.

If you are using less latency and now have richer WOT afr, I would look at your Fuel Trim Control Point Table settings because your FT's are affecting your WOT fueling. Or just get your trims in check.

Do you or have you used these settings? What are you trims like? How close are your afr's to your afr map?

I'm looking for the best place to be VERY close to good and start there. I want to disable lean spool, but my map is WAY different than my actual afr's with my current settings.

I use

Scaled to 914

3.72
2.088
1.44
1.08
0.84
0.672
0.552

With these I have AWESOME trims, low is usually -2 or less, mids around 3.5-4.5 which is fine for me. I would just like to find some settings that get THIS good of trims, but match up better on the afr map. Currently, at 5500-7500 and 180-300 loads my afr map is in the 9.3-9.5's and my wbo2 readings are 11.0-11.3.

Any and all help appreciated.

I wanted to add my dialed in numbers. I haven't worried about fine tuning these, but all of my trims are within +/- 3%.

FIC 1450cc
93 oct - 2.4L

Scaling - 1329

Latencies

2.784
2.112
1.680
1.344
1.176
1.080
0.984

Haha! I was about to start a new thread, but look what searching turned up.
I'm switching to pump gas (93) and would really appreciate a jumping off point. I'm running FIC 1450cc, SD on a 2.3. I know I've got some time to put in behind the laptop, but a good healthy head start would be appreciated.

I just saw this thread and after a weekend of tunning and Diag i came up with these settings.

scale 914

latencies

4.69v = 3.720
7.03 = 2.088
9.38 = 1.440
11.72 = 1.080
14.06 = .864
16.41 = .672
18.68 = .528

Low LTFT is -3.9
Mid LTFT is -1.9

o2 feed back fluctates between 0 and 10

cruising my AFR are at 14.7-15. When i go WOT it goes to 13.0

For sure..... sounds like with a little maf scaling and smoothing, you could be zero'd out. Thanks for the input.

Quick question.

Found out by accident that my car LOVES 11.5-.6 afr's at redline?!?! is this ok? I see 11.1 everywhere.... but my car has zero knock, and picked up GOBS of tq power. Any input or reason why I shouldn't listen to my car and results?
