Throttle hang and the Idle Stepper Table
Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is. I have Apexi intake filter, injen maf pipe and intercooler piping, ETS 3" intercooler, Cosworth M2 cams, Megan exh. manifold, TTP O2 housing, Megan downpipe, Helix testpipe, Skunk2 catback, Aem Tru-boost set at 23ish lbs and a walbro fuel pump. I think that's it. I'm really not sure what's going on. It's something ecu related, because if I change it back to stock it's fine, other than the hang. I have a modified table that works for the most part so it's livable, but I'd like to get it taken care of.
well I hooked up my wideband this weekend and confirmed my suspisions. when its hanging the car is getting fuel. mine reads about 14.6 when you lightly press the clutch pedal or it stops hanging, it cuts fuel and goes back to read 22.XX. not sure what all that means, other then its getting fuel while its hanging. I am going to post this in the other thread as well

right on, well between the few threads that have been posted regarding what seems to be an unsolvable issue. I figured I would just throw that out there. I hope people with more ecu knowlege figure this out.
i know this may be a bit redundant, and while I am learning more about this as knowledgeable people post up, can anyone say if the fix is in? EVO IX hangs like a mother when you drop a gear or let of any higher then 3-3500k... who has actually solved their issue and what year and ROM does your car have?
hey evo kid. I am having a little trouble. I am trying to change the definitions in the table but i dont have coolant temp as an option for the x axis. i can change the y axis to reflect load and scale to load 16 as state, but I dont have the option for coolant temp on the x...what do I need to do here? thanks dude
For some reason that table doesn't seem to work for a few of us. I have a 15 rom also and my car won't idle with that table. I have a table now that seems to work fairly well, but I have a feeling it won't idle come winter when the temp goes down.
can someone help me out here. I cant adjust the definition to reflect coolant temp on the x axis. i can adjust the y axis accordingly. just not he x...some one please shed some light on this for me as I am a super noob with ecuflash. btw it is set to developer mode
mine is working pretty well right now. idle is a bit weak on cold start or even if the car has sat for a while. it catches its self, and has the OCCASIONAL dip after coming to a stop. but like biggie said, I think come winter it might be problematic. any updates on the fix? my hang is totally gone. its a beautiful thing but the cold idle is bleh...
The only thing I can figure out is basically continuously adjust the table accordingly. I can get it to where hang is pretty much eliminated, but sometimes the idle sucks, but only for a minute due to the warm weather. Maybe it's a faulty valve, cuz now every once in a while my throttle will hang around like the valve is sticking. This is at low loads, as in idling around in 1st and normal operating temp. I did take it out a couple weeks ago and cleaned it and it looked good, so I don't know. Maybe bad ecu roms. I have no idea.
i will look at my map again. I know it did have issues. tamer from 4ws has been working on my tune and this morning I didnt give it any thought but it idled great. I will get more info for you later today when I get out of work.
