Throttle hang and the Idle Stepper Table
'06 with 2200 miles. Only mod is a k&n filter. I have had the throttle hang since day one. The table below is what I put in and it worked for me. At cold startup it idled around 1400rpm. I drove around the neiborhood until it got warm, then I drove around the block running through the gears and the throttle hang was completely gone. So then I drove it to Wal-mart and back and no more throttle hang, no idle problems. I will give more feedback after I drive it back and forth from work tomorrow.
Let me ask a question after rescaling your idle stepper table, how is your cold starts now?
Comparing the stock idle stepper table (TPS/RPM) and the rescaled one (coolant/load). It looks like the steps have drop alot in the colder cells during idle. Load is usually around the 30's @ idle and TPS % is in the low teens.

I am using Scan Tech for these numbers, so I am not sure how accurate it is, but it's 39 degrees here right now, I went out and let the car warm up to temp and at idle....
800rpm
20.0 % Load
0.0 % Throttle Position
I don't really have the time tonight, but I will try flashing it back to stock and see if the above information changes. The car started up and idled at about 1400 and it slowly tapered down as it warmed up to temp to 800rpm.

Keep in mind there are adaptive routines for the ISC control. And the reason the stepper lookup table doesn't progressively get larger with colder coolant temps is the FIAV.
There is most likely a 'dashpot' function table somewhere.

So, did anyone ever fix this without any further problems? I Have had my evo 9 tunned to about 335awhp and my boost up to 25 psi, and i'm struggling not to kill myself through fast shifting because if i take a second longer with my car in gear after i lift off the throttle it keeps shooting forward like a damn rocket
.
Please let me know if someone did anything that actually worked

Still looking
If the car doesnot immediatelly respond when you slightly lift-off the throttle or your RPM hang when you shift under heavy driving - then your idle stepper lookup table should be flattened out to 40 in the most right column - so when the engine is warmed up the stepper is not progressivelly opening itslef with the load. The table attached is for my evo 8 so yours maybe slightly different. You should try to find the optimum value for yours setup
Have you actually tried this on your car and made sure it works? You can see that a lot of guys tried different stuff in that same direction if you read this thread, and i'm not sure any of those ever work 100%
Does anyone that have an evo 9 have any suggestions, since they are the ones that seem to have that problem by default?
Bonestock. Have you found out yet, or still struggling?
I have an Evo 9. I have my stepper table set like I posted above since February and I have not experienced any problems with idle, cold starts, or that annoying throttle hang.
