? About EcuFlash and OBD 2 Generic Scan Tool
Ok so I got the cable and I got the EcuFlash and the newest OBD 2 Generic Scan Tool that MalibuJack posted a short while ago. I opened the Scan Tool and I cannot figure out how to have the EcuFlash and the Scan tool open at the same time because the Scan Tool cannot be minimized, just closed. Please help me MalibuJack!!!
Thanks,
Anthony

Certainly not with that OBD scanner.
Here's what you do.
Go to aktivematrix.com
become a member
download MalibuJack's Mitsulogger
and BAM you can log everything your heart desires.

You must be confused...I have the logger. Heres what I have: http://www.techdiag.co.uk/obdscantech/web/Download.htm
the OBD-II Logger is not the best tool for logging anything, its too slow, but it works for generic stuff, and reading/resetting the MIL codes..
You need to run something like Mitsulogger if you want to log data using the native MUT protocol..
OBD-II Scantech maximizes itself, its the only real glitch with the program, but its actually not a glitch, it was intended to work with an in-car PC..
For logging, use MitsuLogger or EvoScan.. for CEL Codes and checking if your car will pass an inspection, use OBD II Scantech, and for reflashing, use ECUFlash.. OBDScantech is of limited value for logging as OBD-II protocol itself is too slow to do any real tuning.

The OBD2 scan tool is for resetting codes and finding out what is wrong with your car. It cannot be ran simultaneously with Ecuflash or Mitsulogger.
You sound like you want to get some data from upcoming dyno runs. You will need to log the car using mitsulogger during the dyno run. It is best to use Mitsulogger along with a wideband o2 sensor. Then open up the log file in Excel or in Dataloglab and check for knock counts and look at the AFR from the wideband.
You can then close out of Mitsulogger and open up Ecuflash, read the ROM from the car, make any changes desired and flash it back to the car using Ecuflash.
Run another pull and check changes using mitsulogger.
Is that helpful?
