Sounds like to me its something to do with permissions. maybe its trying to write to a directory its not allowed to on your windows user? change the saved position to the log file to your desktop and see if that relieves the issue.

its weird i have evoscan saved in two locations it seems. Im using windows XP pro BTW. The first directory is "C:\Program Files\EvoScan\EvoScan v2.7" The other one is "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\EvoScan v2.7" Is this what you mean?

I am having trouble logging 2 byte. Evo 9, 88590015 tephra v5, the mut tables are correct. I changed the equation in evoscan for 2 byte load and rpm from .3125* to 1000* My rpm will log correctly, but having an issue with the load. It will read in the mid 300's at idle. I changed the equation over 2 decimal points to 10.00* then my load wot was 360. I shouldn't be anywhere near 360 load wot.

Thanks in advance

Any specific reason your logging 2 byte load instead of 1 byte load that comes with the Tephra mod?
Also, you shouldn't have to be changing any equations in evoscan to log 2 byte, all you have to do is make sure the MUT table address match the request ID's in the data.xml file for evoscan.
IIRC 2 byte load for that ROM is 6B42 & 6B43.

I think I was confusing myself with the 1 byte and 2 byte. I read the thread but its hard to understand with my limited ecuflash knowledge. I just realized I could change my 1 byte to 1.3 in ecuflash, so as long as my evoscan equation is 1.3 it will log the actual load the car is hitting?

It sounds like you didn't remember to copy over the info to your evoscan's data.xml to be able to log 1 byte load...because you shouldn't be getting 300% load at idle.
Did you add this:
<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="Load 1Byte" LogReference="Load1B" RequestID="41" Eval="1.2*x" Unit="load" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="270" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="270" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="False" />

Also, V5.10 comes default as 1.2 load factor, which allows you to log up to 306% load (1.2*255=306) So a 1.3 factor would allow 331% load.

The older versions have it under "Turbo" heading as boost limit.
