Car will not start after new flash

I received an image from Jestr and tried flashing it to my ECU. The car did not run so I tried to flash the ECU back to stock using the OEM file and the car still does not run. The engine will turn over, but there is no ignition. What am I doing wrong?

Check your immobilizer code and set it to your factory code (which I hope you saved).

It sounds like two things here, the first is you might have accidently gotten you the wrong file back which doesn't include your immobilizer code and the second is the OEM flash you used was not your own.

I am positive I am using my stock ROM from my car. Not anyone elses. The immobilizer code is in ROM info under 'Internal ID' correct?

Ok, here's something strange. I saved two maps from my car. One was a completely stock image, the other was one where I was messing around with the stationary rev limit. There is no 'Immobilizer' field on the first 'stock' file but it exists on the other one...why is this?

Is your battery shot, i over cranked my car on a weak battery after i flashed my hydra and fouled the plugs.

Maybe its your plugs?

Alright, for whatever reason, not all of my maps have the 'Immobilizer' field under MISC. I found one that did and entered that info into the file Jestr sent me. Car runs great now.

Is the flash made with the idea that the driver is going to remove his/her restrictor pill, or is this just a hack-job that you can do to net a few extra psi?

the flash is what ever you want it to be. There are excellent threads that talk about programming the stock boost controller and wastegate.

Ok, thanks Chris. I've read some of the threads I think you're talking about.

After sorting everything out, I personally have not had any seat time with the car. After getting the car running, the storms came through making a thorough testing somewhat precarious. My girlfriend however, drives the car on a daily basis since she drives only 10 miles to work and I drive almost 40. I asked her to call me on her way to work this morning and let me know what she thought about the flash. When she calls, I answer the phone to hear her giggling. In her words, "I've said 'oh my goodness' twice now and I haven't even gotten to the interstate yet." I still haven't taken the pill out yet either.

For anyone wondering about a flash, I have nothing but good things to say about Jestr. I haven't driven the car yet, but his support during my problems has been top notch. And my girlfriend assures me the flash is the ***** too.

Ok, after driving the car over the last few days, all I can say is "wow". This flash is outstanding. I've compared my stock maps with the Jestr tune and I was very impressed with how thorough he actually is. Not just a block of 8s pasted into a few cells. I am very impressed. Best $52 I've ever spent on modifying ANY car. The car pulls harder in every RPM range. No sacrifices, no complaints, just a much faster car period. No reason comes to mind why anyone should be without this flash.
