issues with ecuflash not working
I have been running ecuflash version 1.28 for awhile now, well, i downloaded 1.29, tried to use it, had issues, so i went back to 1.28; then i downloaded 1.30, tried that one, my issue is for some reason it wont read the ecu ! anyone experience this ? or have any suggestions as to what might be the issue ? appreciate any help... thanks guys
Have you tried resetting the ECU? An easy way to do this is to remove the 20amp fuse in the underhood fusebox. Doing it this way you dont have to reset your clock or your radio presets.
I think there may be a problem with 1.3, it was just released and I've seen quite a few reports of problems.
My experience with 1.29a is it didn't always install new drivers, and if you've been using earlier versions, you have to completely remove the old drivers to eliminate problems with driver version conflicts. Then I would install the new drivers in the drivers directory if 1.29a didn't install them. Just make sure all the old stuff is deleted.
I'm holding off 1.30 for the time being because I'm not sure if the issues are user error or something specific with the application. From looking at the complaints, there may be some issue with detecting specific cables.

Yep 1.3 doesn't work under Windows 2000 SP4 for me, but it works fine on my laptop with XP SP2.
When I say "doesn't work" I mean it doesn't even start up at all. I haven't tried flashing using my XP laptop to see if there are issues there.
I'm sure Colby will fix it up and release it soon enough.

thanks for the replies... i figured it was a problem with cable drivers and still having previous versions installed. I reinstalled a couple times making sure to install in separate partitions but that did not work either. Hopefully soon 1.3 will be working soon and i can be current with everyone else
can someone email the install for 1.29a and 1.28 i cannot find these exe's anywhere! and 1.30 does not work on my laptop..... Email is luda_chris_2002@yahoo.com thanks in advance!

1.29 link thanks to who ever emailed it to me so i went ahead and hosted it on my FTP space http://www.lunak.org/chris/ECUFlash/..._setup129a.exe
Yep 1.30 no worky worky. Can't connect to ECU. Also problems with 3D maps. If you open a 3D map that is partially off screen, the off screen area renders black when it is dragged back on screen. It stays black until you restart ECUFlash.
Some fixes required methinks. I'd also like to see 2D graphing.
