log boost with JDM MAP sensor (updated instructions)
I would like to use an AEM 5 bar to log boost in evo scan, and to have direct boost control. I was wondering if this was possible, and if so would someone be willing to point me in the right direction on how to do it?
I just did this today. (I'm a total NOOB so far when it comes to tuning).
I want to say thanks to MRFRED for all the hard work he has put into the Evo community. The How to is simple and very easy to follow. I did forget to set the ECU Periphery4 parameter and was only getting a 1.xxx reading at first

The USDM's don't come with the 3 bar map sensor though.

Correct for JDM Evo IX. All other JDM Evos, you'll need to run wires from the ECU and use some kind of universal MAP sensor like the GM or the OMNI universal. No ECU mods are needed.
my jdm evo 7 has a mdp sensor in the spot where the map sensor is meant to go. i remember searching a while back and it was the same as the usdm ones. some 1 bar sensor of some sort. im getting one of those evoscan gps units and want to ditch my boost gauge.

What's the ROM ID of your Evo?
