I haven't been able to locate the EGR performance check routine yet. Its not like the other routines that were relatively easy to track down. I'm still looking though.

Well the service engine light went out and there are no codes stored. So I am going to keep my scanner with me and check the code when and if the light comes on again.

From the service manual it looks like the MDP is only for the EGR check. I did not see it used in the emissions system for control anywhere. The MDP is only referenced for EGR relation codes in the manual.

I've been working on finding the table to fix this. I've spent many evenings pouring through assembly code, but haven't found it yet. Its much more elusive than the other tables which were quite easy to find after I learned a bit about assembly code. Give me another week or so, and I'm hoping to have a solution.

No issues with my IX yet!

For those getting the P0401 CEL.... what is your AFR at WOT? Do you mind sharing the fuel tables?

Also, did you check for any vaccum leaks on the intake manifold? I did secure mine with tie wraps to be sure and did a boost leak test.

No leaks but that has nothing to do with it. Its when the egr performance check happens.

And my AFRs are 11.2-11.4 when wot

A leak or disconnected vaccum line behind the intake manifold will trigger EGR codes. Happened to me with a popped vaccum line.

Can't remember the code that I got thou!

Yes thats the same cel as the code # when the egr vacum line popped off. The jdm sensor egr cel and when the egr line popes off are both p0401 Thats not the issues with the jdm sensor. You get the code when the egr does its check and certain criteria is meet
