Any update on the P0401 code fix for the JDM MAP sensor on an Evo IX? Just threw the code again this morning on the way to work.

OK, just threw the P0401 code again on the way to work. Not trying to be a pest, just wondering if there's any word on this yet? Thanks!

I've been waiting for Bez to get back to me. Bez said he would look into it, but I haven't heard back yet.

OK. It was interesting, my car threw the P0401 code on the way to work. I then cleared it at work. Then it threw it again on the way home.

I've double checked (again) to make sure all my EGR hoses are connected and everything looks good. So it's gotta be related to the JDM MAP sensor.

Thanks!

EDIT: It threw it AGAIN! That's 3 times in 1 day!! If this keeps up I may have to put my USDM sensor back in.

I still have not had a code pop up since the very first day and then it went away before I could check it. It seems like weather conditions have alot to due with it.

Just curious, what kind of boost readings are you getting on a stock 9? I'm reading anywhere between -11 and +17.5.

-11 seems about right. +17.5 seems a little low up top. What's the elevation where you live?

So the guys with the 2005 96940011 ROM's are doing OK with these?

If so, I am about ready to pick up one of these...

Not really I had a friend throw the p0401 code on his 11 rom. He did the cel fix for the egr. It only disables the cel for the egr not disabling the egr itself

Like 10' above sea level Guess I can increase my boost about 6 psi. Can I do that with the stock restrictor pill? If so, how? Thanks!

Common, that's not really fair. The EGR cel is the only unresolved issue has been reported by more than one person. Its not a real EGR problem. The ECU just thinks there is an EGR problem. The value that the ECU uses to judge EGR performance just needs to be scaled to match the JDM MAP sensor. And not everyone is seeing the CEL. I think driving style is why some people see it and some don't. Rpms, throttle, speed, and other parameters all have to be within a set range before the EGR performance check routine will run.

Can't be done with the stock restrictor pill(s). Check out some of the threads in the ECUFlash forum by Evo_kid and nj1266. And you may want to do a boost leak check before changing out the pills.
