I'm not really sure how it works so how do I determine it's not functioning properly? I have mitsulogger/evoscan and such. I tried to take a pic but it didn't come out that great: http://www.justchil.net/gallery2/d/77027-4/000_0069.JPG

PS: I just found this which sounds like my exact problem: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...t=idle+stepper Now if only I could find a pic of what it should look like

Sorry for the hijack but I'm having the same problem more or less.

I took at look at your photos, and yep... get ready to bend over. you need a new servo. Mine broke at the same point.

I am having a similar problem.... When I start the car when cold it starts up fine and idles fine until about 20-30 seconds go by... after that it drops way down and my WB reads 16.0 pegged. It seems the car does not like to wake up and drive... If I start to drive too soon it bogs out and shiats all over itself. Once it is warm the idle seems cool until I turn the AC on then the rpm shoots up to 2K and slowly falls.... My idle is rather screwed up. I also have the dying issue with quick gas and then putting the clutch in. When this happens the engine sounds totally unhappy and spits and ****s knocks and sounds like there are marbles in it. For the most part the car runs fine. Would anyone be able to show me what numbers I need to deal with in ECU Flash? I know the desired idle maps should be changed with ac off and ac on but does anything need to be changed in the actualy fuel load maps? The marble sound is the most troubling sound but I assume that is only because the car is chocking itself with not enough fuel at idle. The AC idle is really driving me crazy.... It is way to high.... My target idle with the AC on is 953 but for some reason the car idles at 2K when the compressor is on.

After that it would only happen every once in a while and it would not stall just stumble to 400-500 rpm's. Just recently it started again stumbling at least once a day, and now today it died twice. When it started I had an HKS intake, upper IC pipe, jdm mr BOV and mini battery so my issue is definatly not aftermarket cam related. I was also untuned. Now I'm tuned, still no cams but I have quite a few other mods so I'll try the plug route and see what happens from there. I was told that this could be BOV related as well but I have a MR recirc valve and people have said that it has to do with VTA valves so I'm interested to see what other people have to say about this
Actually, this similar condition happened to me when I changed to the MR BOV (at that time, everything else on my 03 Evo was stock except for the MR BOV). When I interchange back to the stock plastic BOV, it stopped. I attribute MY problem to the MR BOV.

Do you happen to have the part # and any idea what I can do to prevent this? If it's the alky I'll get rid of it.. but if I don't have alky I'll have to sell my setup and go for a 3065 to be happy :\
