Does anybody know the implications of using these definitions on a 2005 USDM 96530006 without the ALS hardware? Awhile back, i was working on a software ALS for the 96940001 rom, but ran into some dead ends. I really just need the ability to add fuel on throttle liftoff, once a set of parameters are met for software ALS. I can already retard ignition timing(no less than -10 deg, which is not really enough) in the timing maps, but need the ability to keep the injectors on. I do wish i could retard ignition timing more than -10 degs though, as this would greatly effect Anti-Lag effect.

I have the same Rom, actually can you ran ALS in your car?

Do you have the definition adress to have ALS in you Rom?

wow...this might be much late...25 pages later from teh original post...lol

I have read this thread about a zillion times...

Just to let everyone know

it WORKS!!!! on USDM ECUs!!!

right now it is tuned to a /stockish setting, but is definetely noticeable...right now it is on my standard tune...with just the ALS settings mildly activated....just to see if the hardware actually would work...boy was I suprised when first go...bang bang bang bang...lol

FREAKING FANTASTIC!!!

if you want to know what parts are needed...find the SAS hardware thread.
if you want anti lag without the extra air injection...dont bother.

I Think my rom is 8890015 or something like that...really generic.

Me and my buddy will be fooling around with this even more to come up with something that should be a whole lot of fun.

I may or may not post pics...buddy mentioned video... I will see

If you're running the ALS hardware on a USDM Evo 9, then it might be working a bit, but not as it should. The USDM Evo 9 ROM is not configured for ALS control.

well...it works...and believe me, I was super suprised.

it took a bit of ecu work...but it is all there.

over the weekend we will be playing with more air and lowering the RPM (for air injection). Hopefully a map switch will allow for some fun stuff.

and yes...right now the air is injected at throttle lift off above 4k rpm.
settings are I believe at "1" for the air injection.

timing/ignition has not even been touched yet.

Post up the table definitions that you are using.

ok...

just out of curiousity, is this because you want to run SAS? Or because you dont believe? Hell mitsubishi was lazy enough to leave the mounting points for the SAS valve on all usdm evos...

as far as I know, I am the only one right now that actually has a full SAS system in a USDM car...

evo 7 manifold
evo 9 piping
evo 9 SAS valve
trust upper IC pipe
autozone heater hose of awesomeness
2 banjo bolts
1 SAS sensor (evo 7)
1 PCV tank (evo 7)
ECU repinned from (pin 41 to SAS pin 4 or 5 [i forget])

the whole thing did not work UNTIL the ecu was flashed with the ALS settings.
I even had it attached to the wastegate sensor just to see if the valve would open...but I did not notice anything.

one thing that might be in my favor, as through all the reading through evom, MLR and geekmapped...evo 9's had much more success at this than 6,7, or maybe even 8s

when my buddy gets in to work...Ill have him shoot over a screen shot of the current setup.

I'm not interested in running ALS, but am interested to see the ALS code in the 88590015 ROM. If you post up the tables, then I can see the code where the tables are called.
