Not really. If I had the factory service manual with the ECU wiring diagram, I could figure it out within an hour.

Is necesary install SAS Valve for ALS? In my EVO VIII European, this valve is not installed

You can put -15 in 0-30load\4-7Krpm and change your ignition retard limit to 255 (stock is 203), and enjoy the same bang-bangs.

"works" the same way as on the video a couple of posts above.

But i cant really tell you if it helps spool because i'm auto-x-ing still on stock 8 turbo. ))))))))

Anyway its looks and sounds impressive )))))))))

I bet nobody really gets positive pressure using SAS or not. It probably theoretically just helps a little bit to spool quicker after you released and pushed the throttle again.

I also know a couple of evos (2005) that do not bang at all, whatever timing you use in lift-off part of the map.

Actualy if you want some positive pressure on lift-off, you have to use SAS valve and use it instead of your stock bov valve. Than you have to put some more fuel and some real negative timing in all 0-100load\2,5-7Krpm area to make it function like real ALS. But that will put some reall stress to ex.valves, ex.manifold, turbo, and your wallet as a result... Cops and neighbours will experience some stress too if you use it on the street.))))

Is for circuit. Only create sound of bang but not charge to 0.0b turbo in idle. I need create a real-bang, not simulated bang (only sound), my pression is -550mg in idle, i need 0.0 or positive. My evo is 2005 GSR without sas valve or egr tubes. I need?

Thanks!

yes you do need SAS hardware or any other device that will pass air dirrectly to ex.manifold, - so you will be able to make a combustion in the ex.manifold before the turbo. You also have to retard ignition to -30-45 degrees, but stock ecu is able to retard only to -10. Thats enough for a bang sound, but not enough for ALS to fully function.

With this mod in the ecu, you can retarding more -10º. Only put -30º and obtain ALS in my evo without SAS hardware or any other device???

not more than -10 is available. it is still not enough.

you need air and fuel to be in exhaust manifold and about -30 -40 degrees of timing.

Is this sound Bang Bang is always harmful for Turbo and ex.Valve? My Friend's tuned STI is always bangin with Lift-Of, and still no probs for 3 years ...

You guys are really sure that you need SAS system in order to operate ALS on EVO?
I think can be done easy also from the ECU with the correct table if we will define that table properly.
This is some tables that I found in some other maps.
I really think that HKS ECU for Evo 9 has those tables defined also.
Just a thought......
