Please give me your feedback! Thanks guys!
So wow, it averages every 250rpms and makes all graphs like a ski slope?

You could just call the application the "GST Motorsports Dyno Calculator" as their old model dyno does the same thing.

I can make it have incredibly good resolution but I dont find it as necessary to add the gobs of formulas when it will get smoothed down to this size anyhow. And what do you mean by every one looking like a ski slope? I loaded up over 20 dyno data file onto this thing and then compared it with the evoscan datalog and they both followed the same curve as the printout would have been from the dyno. It follows the power curve just fine at this resolution for now.

The slopes represent 90-100% smoothing factor on a newer Mustang Dyno.

have u actually tried this app? The lower smoothing definitely less than 90%. For the purpose of this app, it serves it's purpose just fine. If you don't like it, feel free to stick with your real dyno and keep your 2 cents in your pocket

it works perfectly fine for me
only thing is that it seems like the info i put in causes the graph to be like a straight line instead of like the comparison graph where its curved on the dyno. any ideas? or is it just the info im putting in

I would much rather give you my .02 cents for an altmap cable, however you have ignored our PM.

I commend you on your work. It is definitely a neat application, however it WILL BE ABUSED and people will be confused as if they get a false sense of security and start to believe a real dynamometer is not beneficial.

Abused? False sense of security? We're not talking about a safety issue here, unless you're concerned about people making third-gear pulls more than they were before.

It's an extra tool for measuring incremental changes to the car, just like all the other software tools we have available to us. I fail to see the problem here, unless I'm a dyno owner worried about this cutting into business.

Oh knoez the dyno app is out and I am going to lose all my bidness... the horror!!!

Again, great work Jamie, and again, in the end they are all tools. It can/will be abused just like dyno operators can abuse their 500,000,000,000 eleventy billion dollar dynos they always like to remind people of.

Any who, back to your excellent work Jamie.

Abused as in someone stating "my car makes so and so on BR's Dyno" never ever been tested on BR's dyno.
If left alone there already is a standard for data log lab "dyno estimator" and adding more options into the mix will just further confuse people.

I can forsee it popping up in signatures already.

I don't think kids will really abuse it much, no one really posts their DLL or Evoscan hp/tq values so I doubt this app will be any different. There is no true substitute for the bragging rights of a REAL dyno printout. This app is no different than the DLL concept, just freeware basically. It was my first attempt playing around with Excel and it will get better as I learn more, but as Bryan mentioned...just another tool. If Evoscan's HP/TQ simulator worked, or DLL was easier for the evoscan users (and cheaper) I wouldnt have bothered. I basically made it for the fun of it.
