FWIW I ordered my GM BCS from gmaprtsdirect on July 1st and FedEx tracking puts it here on the 6th ... and they don't work on the 4th. So no 12 day waiting time right now. Total cost shipped from NC to VA was $41 for the solenoid and pigtail.

Here is my "first" attempt
"first" meaning I did about 20 datalogs and about half as many flashes to get this.

Now the challenge is that I have the TBEC zeroed out, however before when I still had the negative values I noticed a distinct LACK of downward correction. But I seroed it out cause I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting any adjustments. My 4th gear pull, starting at 4000rpm going up a hill actually wasn't too far off but it was certainly above my target-load and there was a spike. Hopefully I can get the TBEC working well. I'll start with stock first and see what happens.
The obvious low BWGD from 3500 -4000 was the only way I was able to prevent spike and large overboost in 4th or 5th gear so hopefully TBEC can take some more care of that for me. Oh and it is also there for when I start WOT at 2500 even in 3rd ... but who actually does that when really driving
The only mods are my K&N cone filter, the GM 3-port, and my personal flashes to-date. Why ... because are cheaper than a TBE which I think I'll start a little xmas fund of about $100/month so I can buy a Megan TBE when I get back from Qatar in January.
PS thanks to mrfred for the template. Now if EVOscan takes on my recommendation to include a "vs. RPM" charting option it would make quick, in car, work much easier

I have a question because this seems like a good option for me.
Are all of you that are running this GM solenoid already converted to the JDM EVO MAP sensor? I noticed you are all logging boost.

I'm not. I'm also not logging boost. It is on the chart legand only because mrfred put it there and I saw no point removing it since I WILL be logging boost whenever he gets the JDM sensors in stock.
I'm just using my boost gauge to eyeball-log and then comparing to my 2byteload.

Help tune GM 3-port overboosting with Stock TBEC
Ok so I got the GM installed and generally had 3rd gear tuned with the TBEC zeroed out. So my next step was to put the stock TBEC values back in and see if it would keep from overboosting in 4th and 5th and maybe give a bump-up in 1st and 2nd.
Well ... um ... it didn't quite work out that way and that is why I need some help from the gurus on here.
Here are my ROM settings:

Note my boost limit which I actually lowered from stock at high rpm as a "safety measure" while tuning. I put that in quotes because when you see my logs you'll see that it didn't do its job.
So here is the log of my 3rd gear run with TBEC ZEROED-OUT

The next four charts are a 2nd gear pulled with a shift to 3rd gear, then two separate 3rd gear pulls.




So as you can see the ECU is increasing WGDC in an effort to increase load during spool, but way too much and then not lowering it just as quickly when I'm running 250-load with a target-load of 225. In fact during my 2-3 shift the WGDC pretty much stays where it was until I let off.
And I never got fuel-cut despite being 20+ load points above the boost-limit. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the point of the Boost Limit table?
Finally what I find truly amazing is that I was hitting 1.6kg/cm2, or more since that is the peak of my gauge, and I still wasn't getting much knock at all. Does that mean I could really try to run that? Of course my timing was in the toilet but that is because the timing table that far out is stock [read: conservative]. This was on 92 octane and 95f outside too.
So anyone have any ideas? Should I just lower the TBEC values? That seems like a band-aid for what seems otherwise to be a mis-tune that I'm not figuring out.
