ECUflash not working anymore..

Didn't do anything other than turn the 'puter off, then back on a day later.

It gives me an error that reads:

XMLHandlerHelper

"Parse error at line 123, column 304; unexpected character"

Someone please help before I need to go to Ecuflash withdraw rehab!

Did you modify the data.xml file (or other configuration file)? I'd check that first.

Yeah, I did modify it, and it worked yesterday. I did no modifications to it this morning, and it just stopped working, which is why I am uber confused.

Maybe a little elph got in my car and was screwing with it...

Hopefully you were smart and saved the orignal so you can just swap it back.

Yes, sir, I can say I did that . Didn't try it because it was a little to risky playing with the laptop at 80mph while drinking a starbucks, playing with the ipod, shaving, and sending a few text messages. (Uhh, just kidding)

I have never seen that error before though, which is why I decided to post it.

Can anyone e-mail me a copy of the evo7base file.

I am at work now, and don't have access to my laptop now.

Looking for a new clean copy just to have so when I get home I can load it in and try it...

Email: thomas.klemann@forceprotection.net

Thanks to anyone who helps!

That's what I am going to try to do next. I have tried my old versions of evo7base and 96940011 files with no luck. I am hoping that it is a problem with the program because then uninstalling/installing will hopefully work.

I have my evoscan hooked up 24/7 although I disconnect obdII wire #1 (pin1) because of the annoying flashing lights) on my evo8 ecu, apart from that it works great 24/7

yes reinstall ecuflash v1.30 to a fresh folder.. some version changes wrecked the xml files.
