Hello, I'm newbie in using EcuFlash, but I watched the tuturiol and so I downloaded my car's map. What surprised me was that when I looked at the Stationary Rev Limit it had the value of 2125!!!! Normally is 5000 as I know. Why is this?? I never uploaded any map or do something with my ecu. I changed it to 5000 as it normally should be and uploaded, and the car works fine. Please help. Also have EvoScan if you think is needed.
P.S. used the tactrix cable

 

It's using an incorrect definition file it seems. I'm not sure which definition you should be using, but maybe someone will chime in.

Either way, you should probably change that value back to 2125 because it's not the stationary limiter that you've changed.

 

are you sure? because in the stationary limiter field I changed the value. what is wrong?

 

You changed something else. If it says 2125 it's probably something else you're changing, which you should not. You need to read more about definition files.

Post up your ECUs Internal id. Find this in the ROM Info part of the left hand plane.

also I have installed ecuflash to another laptop with win xp, i used ecuflash 1.29, i downloaded my map and its 2125 too that value.. But when i try to launch my rev stay al 5000. If I change that value to 5500, when I launch it stays to 5000 again..

I think I'm having the same problem as you. When I downloaded my car(03) map, I looked at the stationary rev limiter and it was at "0" and I know thats not where its set at.

 

someone please help us, I cannot tune my ecu if I do not have the correct map.
