how-to: ECU-based direct boost control
Yea that's right so we where both basically wrong at first... haha
anyway.... so back to my original point, if someone wants to run more than 24.6 PSI then changing the "boost adder" table to "atmospheric" might confuse them.

Correct!
But the reason why you need to increase boost adder is to compensate for the problem of have 24.6 max psi in your boost baseline table (BDEL).
I think we can remove this 24.6 psi limit (and make it 49.2) with some very simple changes; changes that mrfred is already doing (0x4a00 for example).
Anyways not a big deal

MrFred - so basically the JDM 3bar is underspec'd?
So the weather is finally getting nice out. I will be playing with the ECU boost control tonight and i wanted to post up what i have so far. This is just a starting point. I have the GM 3-port BCS already wired in. I am really only looking to start at low boost levels and then moving forward need be.
Please any input would be much appreciated.

looks good, I thinj the -15 at 3.1 will be too much as if it ever hit's that you don't have enough additive correction to bring it back up. However, it will work well as a failsafe.
You can also get rid of the 500-1500 rpm in the psi table and give yourself more resolution in the other rpm points.

I think this should be conservative enough. Hopefully.
BTW mods on the car are O2 housing, ported exhaust manifold, and megan DP. HFC and drop in filter should be coming soon but I will be staying with the stock catback.

Might be a tad too much duty cycle up top if your target is 16psi.
I would run 50-60 from 5430 up for the first couple datalogs and see what that gets you, then add from there.
