Thank you! looks like all 0's for upward correction from the factory, but I still never have seen any modification to the WGDC downwards.

Have you logged boost error?

Bumping this up.

Chasing the MUT Ram address's for JDM 90550001 and JDM 96260009.
These wouldn't be different if the ROM was a tephra based rom would it?

Cheers.

I'm running ROM i.d. 94170015 and tephra v7 w/ omni 4 BAR... converted all the settings from my original 008 rom.... Car ran perfectly on a Manual BC. I recently installed a Grim Speed EBCS for ECU controlled boost... i zeroed out the BEC table right column per the instructions (i saved the original settings in an excel file)... my "Main Map Wastegate Duty" table is at 50% all across the board (little low i know but im paranoid about over boosting)...... My question is with regard to the "Base Boost Curve" mrfred is talking about... Do I utilize the stock ROM settings (015 and 008 are the same) of "Boost Desired Engine Load"? If so then what is the "Boost Adder"? per mrfred he is utilizing local atmospheric pressure as boost adder... being that i am in VA beach it would be roughly 14.5... stock rom is show 60 units utilizing a "load setting"? If i used my local atmospheric pressure it's a load setting of "90" in the "boost adder table"

This is what is confusing me.. if boost is a combination of "Base Boost Curve" and "Boost Adder"... what data becomes the "boost curve"? Utilizing the stock settings for 015 or 008 ROM with a "local atmospheric pressure" as "boost adder" looks like it would over boost...

for my current set-up 20lbs of boost on a stock 8 turbo is good enough... i just wanted the perks of a EBCS for now..

any help is greatly appreciated...

For 20 PSIg (gauge) you need 20+14.5 = 34.5 PSIa (absolute). So your boost adder + desired engine need to equal 34.5. For 20 PSIg you can just set boost adder to your atmospheric pressure and then input into the desired engine table whatever boost you want to see on your gauge.

OK. the adder has been set to 14.5 in the (psi table)..... do i input "20" in every cell in the "Boost Desired Engine (psi) Table"?? I guess that's where i'm lost... it just seems way too simple..

if you want 20 psi across the rpm range, then yes, that should be all you need to do. After that I would log boost error and check that when you have 20 psi on your gauge your boost error is at 0, +/- 1. That will confirm that your tables are setup properly.

My question is regarding a Grimmspeed EBCS 3-port... and Tephra v7...

I've converted from my 008 Rom to Tephra V-7 Rom 0715... I live in VA Bach and the atmospheric pressure is right around 14.5 (Boost Adder)... Stock WGDC is 100% for all value cells... I cut this to 50% just to be safe... I changed every cell in the Boost Desired Engine 'PSI' table to "20". as i was hoping to run 20 psi at peak..... zeroed out the BEC Table right column.. and i began my 3rd gear runs... i couldnt get but 50-70% throttle and i began overboosting (roughly 23-25 psi) hitting load cells of 260 on a Evo 8 and 93 octane... i then cut the BDE table back several times and tried again.... and now it is set to "0" across the board.... I'm still over boosting and i dont understand why... if anything at 0 BDE 'PSi' it should be running off the waste gate spring.. checked the hook ups on the 3 port and everything is hooked up correctly per the diagrams from Grimmspeed...

Just bumping this up.

Is the "Load Error" and "WGDC Correction" address's stock in a rom? Or have they been added in as a patch?
I'm trying to work this out for 90550701, and possibly the H8 based Evo 5/6 roms as well without too much luck atm.

Cheers.

Where do we add the 'boost error' and 'wgdc correction' since evoscan doesn't have a data.xml file anymore?
Thanks.

I'm using evoscan 2.9 btw

Starting from v2.9, data.xml has been split into a few smaller xml's. The new file is called Mitsubishi MUTII EFI.xml. It already has WGDC Correction (and Load Error), but it doesn't have Boost Error in it, so that's the only one that you'll need to add.

I am running TephraMod v7 Option 1 88590715 with the PSI based boost control (mrfred) mod and the Omni 4bar added to the rom.
I just recently got a Grimmspeed boost solenoid and am trying to get the rom setup so I can start tuning it. I would like to start out with low boost and then get it tuned to about 23-24 (where I’m at now with my MBC).
I am looking for the best settings to start the tuning process. Here is what I have in ECUFlash so far.
I’m a little confused with which tables to use in the Tephra rom. As mrfred’s mod came out before Tephra V7 and now there is gear dependent boost control.

5k6, the same principal applies, except you can fine-tune each gear after you're done with your main boost curve.

When V7 is used does it make the base boost maps void? Boost desired engine load now being the controlling map. Which maps are the ecu using and which ones are redundant after installing direct boost on Tephra V7?
