Hey tephra real quick, for some reason the CEL flash works, but when i let off the throttle it stops flashing no matter what timer i set it to? Its weird as hell. Like i can set it for 10 sec, do a 5th gear pull, it will flash the full 10, but if i let off the throttle it just abruptly stops?

I will fix this soon and update all the ROMS

Hi tephra

Is there any chance of a patch for 90550001 (I have an Evo6 running an Evo7 ecu). in the uk, as I can't use any of the roms you have uploaded so far

If you could add your patch to this rom, it would be fantastic.

Thanks

Russ

Just wondering..
How would the NLTS affect gearing down?
I'm thinking about when driving hard and using the brake- and gas pedal at the sime time to match the rpm (up) to the lower gear (when clutching)... Would it stop me from reving up the engine in this case?

Great work!

Btw, have you considered including other mods to the files, such as 2-byte load?

down gear matching shouldn't be a problem because I doubt if you are hitting high TPS on the down shift...

AlwaysinBoost - send me the stock ROM

Dudical - Problem with the bottom switch is you may never hit it... especially if you are shifting quick... I think the solution is the extent the top clutch switch... I am going to take a proper look @ it this weekend
I'll send it to you on my lunch break

Thumbs up Evo VIII 260, ROM Id: 96530006

Hi there Tephra,

Sounds like some really useful effort you've been putting into this stuff.

If you could do a modified rom for the European Evo VIII 260 I would be keen to try it out. ROM Internal Id listed as 96530006.

I can send a standard 260 rom image if required.

Cheers,
John Rutter (aka Rut the Nut)

I still haven't gotten any help on adding the new .xml file.

I don't understand how to use it, I have the newest ecuflash, I patched in the .xml into the last line of the rom ID metafile but I still can't get the menu up for the new tables? Please can someone give me a pointer on what's going on?

Did you use an xml editor to add the lines to the xml file and then save it ?

If so just close ecuflash and open it again and load the rom file.

It should be there then

Have you tried closing and reopening ecuflash ?

If so, do a google for an xml editor and start again

Just make sure you copy over from the txt file for your version of ecuflash.

There is 2 files, 1 is for 1.30 and lower, and the other is for 1.31 and above.

notepad should be fine - just make sure you are loading up the right rom id.

insert the correct version above the </rom> then start ecuflash.

the options will be there somewhere
