Evoscan error again...

I have finally got a USB-Serial adapter and when I hook everything up and start EVOscan, it says the following:

Error: Unable to open COM1
Access is denied

I have the innovate lc-1 and its selected as well and the wideband box is checked off as well on evoscan

The wideband with the serial adapter is assigned to COM1 and the Tactrix cable is COM6...

Why am I getting this error?

Thanks

It shouldn't matter which com port the tactrix is in. In device manager the serial to usb is com 1? Make sure in evoscan you have the right com port for the wideband under the wideband settings (select com port)

You should try testing the lc-1 with logworks. I bought several usb to serial adapters and they all came with a driver cd. With Vista the port will change based on which laptop usb port you lucg into so you either plug into same ports or look up port re-assignment in device manager.

LOL I just got back from Frys and I bought a self powered usb hub to try and plug Tactrix and LC-1 into hub and then only have to plug and replug into one port on laptop. We will see how this goes.

PS Fry's can sometimes be a pain to return stuff

Good Luck
