Will I need the Tactrix cable?

I have the wideband o2 sensor on the way, I'm planning on ordering the evoscan 1.3u cable with the evoscan gps unit, do I still need the Tactrix cable? Is there any other parts I will need other than those to start logging and tuning?

Evo IX MR

The "evoscan 1.3u" cable is a tactrix cable.

Stock Evo 1 2 and 3 cannot be flashed. You need to remove the eprom and get it re written, fairly involved. There is a chip you can replace the Eprom with that will allow you to plug in and tune like this but it uses different software.

If you want more info let me know as I have looked into early Evo1-3 and GSR ECU tuning.

shot bro! that being said would it be worth it? how much $$$ and effort would it take. I really didnt want to have to fork out for a new ecu. but im rebuilding at the moment with a garrett 35/40 and forking out enough for rebuild n turbo wanted to try save some coin on the ecu part if possible. any info would be great. havnt come across any local shops at all that has any info on evo3 ecu.
