Modified maps for download
Why arent there any maps besides stock available for download? If there are where can I get them? I have an 03 evo with internal id # 94170008 and am looking for a map to compliment my mods. I know you can drop $150 and get a map but why if there is someone else out there who can help you for free?
There's a couple posted at http://www.osecuroms.org/ (account required to download anything or see the interesting forums).
My mods are...... larger intercooler and pipe, Greddy RS bov, tubular header (brand unknown), 272 Brian Crower cams, Weapon-R intake, 3" turbo back exhaust w/cat delete, no rear O2.
I have a map with the immobilizer turned off because my car was missing the ecu when I bought it. So whatever map I run I have to turn the immobilizer off on it. Not sure how to do that.

Your better off either trying to develop your own map from scratch (which is what I think you should do) or getting one of the good "pro" tuners on here to do a custom map for you (preferrably in person).
There are some knocking about if you search around for them on various other sites. The problem is that no 2 cars run exactly the same so even if the map was for another 03 evo with the exact same mods it might not run the same on your car.

Bad bad bad idea to be using someone elses map. Sometimes can get away with it if you have a couple of minor mods, but with cams I wouldnt touch that with a 10 foot pole. Call Chad at CBRD, he can help you out Im sure.
$150.00 dollars is an easy fix to a good tune. Why should it be free. I have $2000.00 invested into my AEM ems and tune alone. If the $150.00 is stopping you from moving forward, you probably need to rethink owning your evo. Not hating, but $150.00 is a fart in the wind for this car.
the reason why you cant really just find a map to download is because everyones setup is different. Also tuners like ams, mellon, etc would not be making money from tunes if everyone just learned how to tune their own evo. get a wideband, tactrix and a laptop and start from there
