wastegate solenoid on/off?

is there a way to disable the stock boost solenoid without it triggering a cel?

btw how does one interpret deactivate on, reactivate off etc.

i think by using ecuflash and setting your boost cut setting to a value you will never hit (i assume your using some other kind of boost controller) this will just render the stock boost solenoid obsolete

i'm running a mbc because my stock boost solenoid went bad causing the cel. I yanked my stocker and the cel only comes on now when i boost over 19 psi.... obviously not a coincidence. i still have yet to change the values on my ecu, i guess i should get on that.....

trying to save that extra 80grams ? :P

just leave it attached but loop the hose back through itself so it doesn't fill up with dirt or anything

external EBC right?

Same here with mbc, but to think of a solenoid with a whole list of 3d maps already defined that control it, just hanging there not doing anything.

I have plans for it though, hint: egr exhaust is a powerful antidetonant that when rerouted through the IC and cooled with a blast of methanol, and since cast exhaust pressures can be much more than charge, use the solenoid to controll the egr rerouted to charge.

IX JDM doesn't mind if it is unplugged, if US models give a CEL then it is something to look at turning off?
