Snug isnt the word lol.

Guys I dont have an ICS light or ICS button. Thats why im using the harness. When switching maps, the LED doesnt do anything. I was just asking about switching the setting in the rom over to see if that changed the LED, thats all.

I used Jaime's writeup for the ecu connections, so should be fine. Will it still switch maps if the power and ground arent connected right? Maybe I just have a bad LED is all.

Hmm, well I fully test every harness before I ship it out so I know it worked fine when it was dropped in the mailbox. Have you datalogged to see that its changing maps for sure? Easiest way to do this is to set the alt maps for about 10 degrees in the cells at idle and set the standard maps at like 2 degrees. Datalog your timing with evoscan and watch the timing #'s while you flip the switch. If you have a volt meter, check the pinouts you used to be sure you are getting power and ground at the harness.

If everything checks out FOR SURE that the LED is just faulty, I can send you a replacement.

Its DEFINITELY switching maps. Right now my altmap is set to 12psi of boost. Working perfectly. Flip the switch to the normal map and it runs 25psi. It could be the power/ground, thats why I asked because I just used those cheapy tap in connectors. I will grab a volt tester and see.

My question was, if the power and/or ground is not having a good connection, will the map still switch over? Or is the power/ground just for the LED. Because that would explain it. The map switching is working perfectly, just the LED not working.

I did double check my pinouts against the IX diagram I have, and i did use the correct ones. The ground is a bigger black wire, and used a switched 12v (same # you had in the writeup, I followed it exactly) for power.

Actually, if you don't ground it well enough you could be sending MORE than the safe 5 volts to the ADC input. I STRONNNNGLY suggest soldering the connections like I have shown in my videos.

So I guess it might still switch maps but the LED wouldn't work. IF everything checks out, I'll be sending something your way ASAP.

94170015 - V4.2 - Tested on my ecu that came with 94170014. Only feature I did not test was the NLTS because I have not changed my oil lately and dont wanna run my car hard needing an oilchange :P All other features of this version works for my 94170014 ecu using a 94170015 bin file. So I guess there is no longer a need for updates to the 94170014 since the 94170015 is the newest and works just fine.

no luck on getting match switching harness to work. Doesn't change map. Also, my 2byte load logging doesn't work anymore...getting values in 2000-3000's...ideas?

Have a volt meter? Best to make sure the ECU pin is getting activated when you switch it on. Try setting the ADC switching point REALLY low, like 2 volts and see if it works then. Tephra knows which address is for the ADC input so you can datalog it with evoscan and see if its on or off. PM Tephra for your address.

Also, which ROM ID are you using? v4?

ArRyder just made a thread with the same issue, maybe its just in one particular ROM ID .bin file?

he sent me version 94710004...my original is 94710008...same rom pretty much, and yes I'm using V4. I'll try it at 2volts later.

I don't have evoscan...i have mitsulogger. I can log it if i have the address.

I'm pretty sure it's the rom...it worked fine before on the old patches...

I havent tested it yet Jaime, I was Spring Mountain all weekend racing the car. I'll see if I can get a volt meter on it today.

For 94170014, datalog address FFFF0x8929 for 2 byte. You can add 0x8929 to an unused MUT location too, which is what I did. This will show you what the ADC_0F input value is, should be between 0-255 when you switch it on, and rests at 0 when its off. Let me know what you get.

There is an address to check if the ECU is in standard maps or the alt maps too but I can't remember the address #. Tephra can let you know.

Any word on a working Anti-Lag system where we can maintain a set boost level with TPS at 0%? Perhaps this can just be done to the same effect by using an AltMap to retard ignition timing across the map by 10* and richening the fuel mixture a tad.
