Hey I did a search on this thread.. (too many pages) But for the alternative maps.. Not sure if this was brought up.. But since it seems it can be so dangerous.. Can you set the stationary limit with it?

So say your Race gas/alchy/ or octane boost higher hp map you could have your stationary rev limit set to like 6000 RPM to confirm

And for your 93/91 oct or some no name pi$$ gas you can set the stationary limit to like 5000 rpm

This way it would be a lot easier to tell

Or do something like you did for the knock flashing the CEL fast and slow for High knock and low knock... Flash fast for HIGH hp map and Slow for Low HP Map?

just trying to be helpful.. not sure if any of this is possible I have no idea how to write any of this code stuff.. lol

If you have AUTO ICS then the autoics lights flash on the dash when your using the alternate map.

If you have wired a manual switch with led (as I have) then you will have an led on, to show that your using the alternate map, and the led will be off if your on the standard map.

Dave - for ROM like 96530006 where the only patch was the Knock Cell flash - will you be able to patch with the AltMap switching? No need for NLTS and all those other nice features - but the alt map + johnbanks live tuning would be very appreciated

This is the rom I have (94170008) and have never had the p300 code, so never got the patch. So is that a very specific reason? I don't quite get the wink...
If I put the patch in my rom, will it work? (Only software change I have is a TTP mail-in flash).

So will this work with the stock solenoid/hoses, or do I need a better one (to handle more pressure) to handle 23-ish psi? (I currently have the profec b spec2)

I know I have to do the research to see how to get the correct boost with the ECU (pill sizes, etc.) only thing is...I thought the psi's vary a bit, (shoot for 22, you end up with 21.5-23) or am I way off?

stock boost control only i'm afraid, so if you have an aftermarket ebc and want boost switching then you will need to get rid of it.

your cheapest/best bet would be to get a a 3port GM BCS and a JDM MAP and do MrFred's direct boost control...

re 08 vs 14 - thats still to be decided, but I can't see why you can upgrade to 14...
