Cheers tephra, sorry would have replied earlier, but haven't had any email notifications for some reason

Anyway seems things are moving on at a very quick pace.

I think I need to go back and readup some more now

Ie you can use both methods to enable/disable? you must choose one when your setting up your ROM?

Just makes the code a bit easier

edit - yeah I think I will do this, then I can use the "Enable AltMaps flag" as follows:

0 = no altmaps
1 = altmaps by autoics button
2 = altmaps by adc0f

of course for evo's that don't have ICS they will only be able to choose 0 or 2.

ok?

Brilliant so many choices this will be excellent, Cheers Dave

hehe - its basically finished now.

Just one last question for ppl here.

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have a "knock threshold" for altmaps?

Ie if the ECU sees more than xxx knock (say 12) then it will automatically revert to standard maps?

Cheers
D.

Yes that sounds like a good plan

Could that be adjustable in the rom, so you could set it yourself to a lower knock count etc ?

the knock map switch is a two edged deal. Its so easy to get a wild spike. Perhaps a knock count over a trim-able time.

I agree, that would be nice if its user adjustable.

Yeah if I did it then it would of course be user selectable!

I am just trying to reduce the amount of "automatic logic" surrounding the AltMaps, I want the user to know what is happening at all times.

Maybe I will leave that feature for now, just get everyone's feedback first

okey dokey V5 is now officially in the "wild"

I have 2-3 people testing various rom's once they report back that everything works correctly I will start doing some other ROMID's - of which 88590015 will be the first

no problems, actually V5 (out soon) will have alt boost maps as well.. so time to dump those EBCs guys hehe

anywhere between 500 and 800 is a good drop.. but really its upto your individual driving style :P
