re 08 vs 14 - thats still to be decided, but I can't see why you can upgrade to 14...
Really don't need it to switch. Actually would be happy to just have boost control that didn't need adjustment from day to day due to the wild temp fluctuations here in Vt. ...2 days ago, 34 dgrees, today minus 9. 40+ degree delta to deal with...

I still have all the stock boost control pieces...need to look up the direct boost control from MrFred. ( I am guessing...another patch that has a table/cell controllable through ECUFlash where a target boost can be entered...I hope?)
MrFred's thing only works with the pieces you mentioned, yes? 3bar vs 1 bar USDM?

Also did you mean to say "I don't see why you can't upgrade to 14..." Just though I had seen people who never got the p300 code have it pop up when upgrading just to have the 0014. Maybe I'm off base... Just happy it has never reared it's ugly head in my car. Still wondering what the wink may end up being

Thanks for the response, I am still trying to wrap my head around how all this works :]

If all you want is better control over boost, then either my load-based or psi-based boost control mods will work for you. Just need a JDM MAP sensor and a modified boost hose (restrictor pill or bleeder).

Luckily I have only had one P300. Happened once when I installed the Random Tech HFC (installed for about 2 yrs.)--which seems to have fallen out of favor with mrfred of late...

Not that I am a tree hugger, but I wonder how efficient a 100cell cat is at reducing emissions.

Yeah, he meant "can't". The 94170008 is upgradeable to the 94170014 and shouldn't have any issues.

What is the enable/disable routine in the car for the auto-valet option. I've seen references to TPS position but no instructions.

this will go in the new thread BUT for V5, setting autovalet to 1 will mean it automatically does valet limiter everytime.

then to disable (or enable) the revlimiter you need to hold TPS @ 100% for xyz seconds...

No the 94170015 is the latest fix for the P300 the 94170014 is the first release for the P0300. There are about 13 differences in the two ROMS.

Shouldn't tephra be working on the latest version for the 03s so the mods by him and others be applied to one ROM vs maintaning two or three ROMs?

Ahh, I didn't know the 0015 was a fix as well. My buddy thats a Mitsu tech says they still use the 94170014 for P0300 fixes today, per Mitsu's request.

Mabey they did not like the later version or it addresses the P0300 and other issues. At any rate the ROMs are pretty much identical. It looks like the 15 is a small tweak of values to further address the P0300 issues.

Most of the differences are seen on the attached image

Nice work to all involved!

A 93660005 owner here drooling at the mouth with anticipation over AltMap switching.

Cossie - yours and BarryC's will be the first ROM I do, coz ive been promising for ages todo so
Talk about landing on your feet, it seems I share the same ROM ID (93660005 - if I read correctly)!

Needless to say there will be a donation winging its way over when it is released!

oh man, doing 96940011 at the moment...

there is bugger all free space in this rom... going to be quite hard do fit it all in.

I will probably have to throw out my "standard" for putting the extra maps in the ECU for this one
