I am running 96530006 on my 05 and it works fine... dont know if it helps anyone out but i can email it to you.

 

Sleeper, this is an EDM ROM, what changes have you made to make it work on the USDM 05?

 

I don't think I had to do anything, wish I was in the states so I could double check, but I am deployed right now, and according to how I labeled it that is the one I have in the car now. I havent switched out whole roms so the ID should be from the map that was in my car to begin with.

 

Uhh. Then you aren't running 96530006 but whatever Rom you had in the car.

So you just copy pasted the tables into your current rom? That doesn't help the cause of this thread.

I still need to get around to trying to flash my spare 05 rom with a 03-04 rom.

Trust me I want switchable maps as much as another 05 owner.

I just haven't found the time to test it out yet.

 

yep found my backup-backup rom file disk and that was the one I copied and pasted just relabeled it wrong oops

hey guys im tryin to do the ecu perephery mod to my ecu. i entered this:

just paste any where after evo 7 base. \/ this also which im not able to access. i dont get an error on start up but i cant read from the ecu or anything.

If you want to disable EVAP set ECU Perephery2 = 0xCFDF

If you want to disable EGR set ECU Perephery2 = 0xEDDF

If you want to disable EVAP and EGR set ECU Perephery2 = 0xCDDF

Obviously the factory default for ECU Perephery2 = 0xEFDF

anybody tell me whats up. im running the 96940011 rom. i just began running the 2 byte mod how do i change the perephery's codes.

 

Well I got some bad news for the 05 guys.

Tephra sent me a 94170014 v5 rom to try and flash into my 05 Ecu.

It flashes fine. Just the car won't start afterwards.

Even tried some non V5 mod 94170014 and 94170015 with no luck.

Doh.

 

Hrmm - did you get any CEL codes?

I am guessing you got the immobiliser right ? :P hehe

 

No CELs.

Yes I put my immobilizer in.

The one good thing is that the the ACD lights just stayed at Tarmac instead of showing all 3 like it normally would if something was wrong with it.

Any luck finding out why the 96940011 ROM is so jam packed with little free space?

Also, does anyone know of any other 05 ROMS from EDM or AUDM that also have ACD, etc, that have extra space?

I noticed mention of 96530006 above, but it looks like that person isn't actually using that ROM. If it does work though, there is a lot of free space in that ROM (just opened it in IDA Pro to check). Does anyone know what year Evo this comes from and whether there is ACD?
