Mitsu 3bar MAP sensor

Now that the Evo X comes with the "JDM" 3bar map sensor we can buy them here in the states.

Good find, it's strange that the part # does not follow the usual format like MX000000.

That format is a normal Mitsubishi Part Number format as well. (example 6512A149WA - SE LIP)

Shipping is getting ridiculous from the rising fuel costs......$15.00 to ship a sensor that weighs less than a lb.?

On a positive note its good to know they are easily available now in the US....

I hear to put this on an EVO VIII, you must flash the ECU. Curiosity asks, can the dealer flash my VIII to work with this sensor? Or is this a custom map? Either way, I am still looking for a MAP I can flash using laptop and cable. I can give details. Thanks again for the info in advance.

Definitely not something that can be done by a Mitsu dealer. You'll have to flash the ECU yourself, or have someone nearby with experience do it for you.
