lean spool is disable but out of all the 12 knock filter tables only 1 was different (the first one). More than likely after your post I will drop timing in the part throttle load cells a bit or adjust th knock filter back to 0008 standings. IDK I will keep messing around with it.

to be honest I dont think the old knock filter will "loose" knock count, since it has been doing its job pretty good over the past 5 years.

But thanks for the advance guys

Tephra, speaking of the knock filter tables:

When switching over to the 96530006 from 96940011, the filter tables #4 & #5 are drastically different. I'm assuming we should use the values from the 96940011 ROM.......just looking for some confirmation before I make the switch.

what does the sticky say about changing knock filter tables?

DON'T!

Anyways I would only be about 30% confident that the knock filter tables are defined correctly in both ROM's. Thus you could be changing something else!

Yah, I know thats what the sticky says, but wasn't sure if it applied when completely changing roms.Thats why I asked before I did it.

thanks

I'm just worried about feeding this line into the chassis ground pin on the ECU. I guess I can just grab the +12v ignition and ground somewhere that is closer to the switch. So only the single pin connection is all that is going to the ECU.
You can use a switch with an LED in it as long as it has 3 pins (12V in, 12v out and a separate ground input for the LED light).

yes indeed 5.0 volts is the maximum you want to send to the ADC input though.

So can I grab any 12+ source and any Ground instead of those (in your diagram) at the ECU?

If so, the 12+ should be switched with the ignition on "ON" as opposed to a constant BATT. 12+, correct?

Yes and yes... unless you want a drained battery

I switched from 94170008 to 94170014, there are alot of differences in the open loop load maps. should i only copy my fuel and timing maps, init, immobilizer, and boost limit into the new rom 0014, or should i also copy the open loop load maps ? i have been doing these patches ever since the NLTS came up but i have never had to switch rom versions like this so im not sure if i need all that stuff in there, and i have never touched my open loop load maps

2Byte works perfectly

Map Switching is amazing. Love having a lo/hi boost option!!!

No other issues I have found personally other than that idle issue.

Any update on ECU-based Direct Boost Control yet? No rush, just curious.

Mine used to work perfect. Great when heading to the dealer for warranty repairs! BUT then I started getting throttle hang between shifts. After a quick play with the idle stepper tables, the hang is gone but my idle with the A/C isnt nearly as good as it was.

Killa - sounds like a definition problem! unless you changed your stock openloop maps then dont bother - if you did then get the definition correct

Sorry for the noobish ? but my tuner is still running the CEL V2 mod and just want to make sure I understand the V5 CEL differences. If I understand this right:

"CEL on knock flash time" is the duration of blinking of the CEL when knock is detected.

"KnockSum Required for Slow CEL" = the min threshold to make the CEL blink "slowly"

"KnockSum Required for Fast CEL" = the min threshold to make the CEL blink "fast"

therefore if the "Slow" is set at 3 and the "Fast" set at 8; 3,4,5,6 or 7 knock counts will activate a slow blink and anything 8 or above with activate a fast blink as long as the load percentage is met?
