No idea, Tephra is the better man to ask about that.

I believe its MUT address 41 or something (its listed in this thread about a 1000 times, lol). 0 means alt maps are off, 3 means they are on. I noticed if you go below the 1500ms 'Alt Map Time to Activate' setting, it won't actually switch maps for some reason.
I found out the problem was the wire; it's been corrected. I tested the map switching by changing the ALT injector scaling to lean out the car at idle. I have an AFR gauge on my turbo timer which tells me if the car is running lean. When I pressed the button to switch maps the AFR leaned out which tells me the map is switching. The funny thing is I have the map switching to 98 ms and the map switching still works. I'm not sure why yours won't switch maps if you go below 1500 ms.

Well, I assume you have your idle in open loop? Otherwise you'd need to alter your injector scaling by a WHOLE LOT to see an AFR change. Since you are in closed loop, the ECU will keep the same AFR even if you bumped your scaling by 20% in either direction. Don't "guess" man. Not smart. Be SURE its switching. Its better to drastically change your idle ignition timing by like 10* in one of the maps to see if it changes when datalogging.

Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can fix my junk and the wiki? I can see it pause for the 1.5s and then see the idle timing change etc.
[sorry] Bump for my lost-ed-ness. Found out my friend nabbed my multimeter and I should have it tomorrow.

guys i seem to be having a problem. 5.8 wont work for me and 5.10 is buggy so im trying to run 5.0 BUT after i flash the car it will run perfectly fine. however after i turn the car off it will not start back up. it did but only for like 3 secs and then turns off.

i have to flash back to stock in order to get the car running again. but once i flash back to 5.0 the car runs fine the first start (like perfect..) but after its turned off it wont start up again.

does anyone have any ideas as to why?

oh im using 0015.

Hey Man,

What do you mean 5.10 is buggy? First I have heard of it???

94170015 or 88590015?

Sounds like a valet lockout to me.. 5.10 addresses this.

Cheers
D.

5.10 is fine.

Draconx if your valet rev limit is 114rpm (default) and set to autovalet (default) you might be auto-ing yourself into an unstartable engine try just disabling autovalet if you want to stay v5.0.

Tephra, any bright ideas on my problems?

0xFFFF8425 will log which set of maps you are using 0 = normal, 3 = altmap
MUT83 (by default) will show you the voltage - use formula x*5/255

Let me know if that doesn't work...

I am not sure where 8429 came from?!?!

Pulled it from somewhere in this thread. Really strange that I was showing a 4 as my result for 8425. We were doing the same math a different way. I finally got my multimeter back and was just under 4.7v.

I'll try logging MUT83 directly and change that in the most recent talk for the stock wiki standard patched roms. Also, I'm on 5.10 now so that could be different, but I'm curious

EDIT: already beat me to it

When using the map switching with the Aquamist system wouldn't the Alt 'Map Time to Activate' setting set at 1500ms be too long if you had a failure in the aquamist system....couldn't the engine go boom by then? Jack_Of_Trader, is this a problem in your own ROM or is this a problem with the v5?

XtremeIX - 'time to activate' is only 1 way, ie to go to altmaps will take 1500ms, but going back (because of a ADC0F < threshold) is instant.

xpro - I will be doing a V5.10 for 88570008 soon

Tephra, could you do the mod on a regular lancer ECU if i sent you the needed files to do so? Not sure if its a far shot or not but i thought i'd ask just to see... The mod you made sounds like it has a lotta advantages to add but its only available for the EVO ecu's and i thought it would be great if it was made available for the Lancer guys using EcuFlash to tune also.... Hope you can help us out. thanks!
