If the problem isn't in your wiring setup, I can only tell you to have Tephra look at your ROM patch. Maybe things are messed up in the rom patch?

The car is a late model 06 IX MR 88590015. The jumper wire is between 9 and 11, the other wire is connected to 12. The ground is soldered to the wire coming out of PIN 46 and the Jamie supplied ECU PIN is installed in 64. The DDS ground is soldered to 58 and the 2 red wires are soldered to 59. I removed the 2 wires from the harness that run to the boost solenoid as the ECU would be controlling the duty. The green wire is soldered to ECU pin 2.

Wired...Everything looks fine...
Have you a multimeter? Verify the voltage you have on pin 64: switch OFF = 0V (it's very important) and switch ON = 4.7V (if more, unplug your battery and start to cry!)
Also check what value you have in EcuFlash in the "Alternate MAp ADC0F Treshold", it should be between 2 and 4.6V.
Cheers

Usually the harness' output between 4.5-4.9 volts. I bench test every harness before I ship them so I know they are correct. Keeping the threshold at the default value of 3.01 is fine.

OK guys, thanks for checking over the wiring for me. I went ahead and removed 1.29a and installed 1.35 and started with a new XML and it works as designed.

Anyhow, time to tune. Thank You everyone! Great work Tephra and Jamie! Any tips on the new tephra options or meth tips would be appreciated, I'm especially interested in the map switch ms, default is 1500 and that seems a little long for failsafe, but I'm a newb with the meth.

Tested and working on 88590015 with Aquamist HFS5 V9, GM 3 port, Jack of Trades Harness, and KevinD pre-assembled kit.

The map switching speed in milliseconds is only when switching from the standard maps to the Alt Maps. Keeping it at the default setting is fine. If you are in the Alt Maps and a failsafe is triggered, the ECU switches to the safer maps almost INSTANTLY. So no worries there, Tephra really thought this through to be rather safe

How long should the knock CEL stay lit for the low knock? Mine triggers appropriatly but continues to flash for about 2 minutes. I have my flash time at 3000ms. Running 96530006 on USDM 05. Did not have this issue with the 96940011 4.8v.

Thats defnitely messed up. It should stay on while the knock is present and continue to stay on for the 3000ms after the knock falls below the threshold limit. I'd say its a reflash error or a patched ROM error somehow (or the patch itself?).

Fixed the endian and have reflashed a few times since it started. Here is the current ROM I am using.

according to your ROM:

125500ms

so 125 seconds = 2andabit minutes.

When you change the Endian you need to reset the value in ecuflash... that or you didn't change the endian properly

FOund it. I changed the endian in the xml, but didn't change it in the definition section of the scaling within ecuflash. Will load and see how it goes.

Hi Tephra,

Donation has gone through now, thank you

I'm really puzzled, and seem to be going backwards rather than forwards! I've got idle issues now and just cannot get rid of the CEL..... I've trawled and found all sorts of info relating to these issues - but it's a struggle "getting it together"!

I'll hold fire and start a fresh with 5.9 if your planning a release that will work for me?
Original ROM attached.

Thanks,
