Thank you all.
I didn't think the IX even had an I/C sprayer.

I'm pretty sure it is necessary to add a separate indicator light and switch to do map swapping in the IX. Ask skiracer, he has it in his IX.

In fact, Jack of Trades sells the harness (with light and switch) here.

So i'm getting ready to install the V5 again w/ harness. Does the new V5 have the bug fixed with the load reading in the thousands range vs low hundreds?

Just donate $25, thank you very much Tephra for this very great work!
If suggestion admitted: I think it could be great to light the CEL everytime rev limit is reached during valet mod...(For some to scream over the F...valet who "screwed" the car...and in my case to have an option (and justify the problem with the thief) if any (I cross my fingers it'll never happen) car jacking...
Cheers

TEphra, I am using the 5.1 version of 96530006 as a replacement on an 05 evo 8. Everything seems to work fine, but around 4k rpms in 2nd or 3rd, during acceleration the CEL will start flashing slowly and continue for a good 3-5 minutes. I even turned the car off and restarted and the flash was still there. This is not knock because I have logged with no knock present. This did not have he same issue when running 96940011.

Any thoughts?

I have changed the turned all features off except CEL KNOCK. I have also changed the Valet RPM to 8k.

I have attached my settings currently on the car, hope this helps.

Ecuflash = 1.30.1095, endian = big

I will change to little and report back. Good call completely missed that. Is Ecuflash 1.35 that much better that I should just upgrade?

Ran into this last night while flashing the tephra v5 on 90015 IX rom. This popped up after I changed the value for the valet auto and valet to 0 in the options due to a no start. Might start from scratch all over again to ensure everything, but i'm sure everything was transferred properly. Flashed back to a stock rom for now.

your computer's rom file/hard drive area where rom file is is corrupt, your ecu's memory is corrupt, or you had a usb/com communication event/error.

you probably had the latter. just test write or read from the ecu and try again. verify/check/reseat your cable device and its pins too. also, start from scratch with a newly downloaded rom file (if using Tephra's or the like).

I have the exact same symptoms as fixem2, But I also have a permenant CEL - I can't work out why?!

Running V5.1 on 96530006 (UK VIII-FQ300) my original ROM ID was 93660005

I'm using EcuFLASH ver 1.35.1650 with "big" as my endian. I've attached my edited XML file, and the map I've been working with.

I've just donated Dave, thank you for the work you've done - truly inspired

Thanks,

j3llyh34d (Si)

Will do re scantech. Think I may have found what I've done.... I've somehow mixed up my XML's and corrupted things. I've been editing the wrong file...... dim wit! The attached 9653006.zip is a fresh XML I've just created, the map.zip is what's currently in but has the aforementioned issues (I guess my mistakes may have corrupted things?) - I'll test later when the other half brings the car back

Just tried sending you a PM .....

Hi Dave,

Sorry, I've upset my PayPal account (I cancelled the wrong direct debit) it's fixed now, but you won't receive my funds until Wednesday.

I have sent a $50USD donation to the link on the first post of this thread (sent from webmaster@j3llyh34d{dot}com)

Thanks,

Si.
