Here's a video clip of Tephra's NLTS action being applied at an autocross:

I played with the 88590015 Rom today because I am interested in the 2 levels of knock cel flash feature. While doing a couple of logs I noticed something that doesn't seem right....
KnockSum Required for Slow CEL was set to 3
KnockSum Required for Fast CEL was set to 6
CEL on Knock flash time was set to 2000ms
Load Required for CEL on Knock was set to 10
If the KnockSum Required for Slow CEL was reached, the CEL would flash slowly, but if the KnockSum Required for Fast CEL was reached during the 2000ms flash time triggered by the Slow setting, the Fast flash was not triggered.

That is probably because you have the CEL on Knock flash time of 2000ms and the first 3 count of knock was still firing the CEL for 2secs.
I set my CEL time to around 400ms. That way I know if the knock went away during the pull. The 2000ms was driving me crazy because one little knock spike would make the CEL flash during a whole 3rd gear pull, even if it was totally clean after the initial knock spike.

I'm pretty sure the A/C compressor disengages once you exceed a certain load already. Mitsubishi had a hunch people might go WOT with the A/C on,lol.

I wonder about this (at least for the '03 VIII) since there is a noticeable loss in power if you leave the AC on. I've forgotten to turn it off many times when out getting some logs done. (It's hot here in the summer and I turn the AC on when driving between my favorite "test" spots.) If it truly disengaged the compressor there wouldn't be much difference in top-end power right?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Seems reasonable to have a factory built in A/C cutoff.
But I have never seen anyone saying that they have seen/ found an actual code that triggers it.
So can anyone say for sure that it exists?
Thanks

There are some new air conditioning logging features with evoscan v2.4, maybe that can help confirm or deny this feature? I'm pretty sure someone on this forum tested it at the harness going into the compressor before.

So if I want to switch over to this I will have to copy all my tables over to a different patched rom that people recommend and then just write it to my car?
ok here is my little update
who ever followed all my issues and problems will know mainly what im talking about. as of right now everything is working just fine. from the cable to ecu flash. also no more cel light due to the rear o2 sensor. and the v5 patch is working 100% perfect on the evo8 91470015 map. thanks to all thoughs who helped
