Any other ideas? Suggestions?

Are you putting the code in the base XML file or the actual specific rom ID file?

Also make sure you have EcuFlash in Developer mode

The only way this can happen is that the definitions are missing from the xml file for your ROM. You may have modified the wrong xml file or not modified one at all.

Hey,im not sure if this is your problem but i was haveing the same issue last night.I was trying to disable the rear o2 with MrFred's xml code.I kept adding the code and it wouldnt show up.After an hour i saw when i would save the xml file it would save the file as administrator,so i opened ecuflash as admistrator and bam there were the tables.Vista ftl again, like i said might not be your problem but might be someone elses.

I'm editing the actual specific ROM ID file that came with ECUflash for ROM ID 94170014.

However, my car is actually running on ROM ID 94170008. Since this ROM is not supported, I'm (attempting) upgrading to ROM ID 94170014. I'm editing the XML for 94170014 in Mistu/EVO folder in ECUflash dir.

I think I'm doing everything exactly as Jamie shows in the video.

The notes in the V5 patch file say:
"NOTES:
1) Change your ENDIAN just below, ECUFlash version 1.31 and higher = "big", 1.30 and lower = "little"
2) Remove your current "Boost Desired Engine Load" #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore
3) Remove your current "Base Wastegate Duty" #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore
4) Please test the features of this rom before driving off, if anything doesn't work as expected report back to Tephra."

Note #1 is obviously referring to the XML file.

Do notes #2 and #3 also refer to the XML, or to the BIN file? The notes do not specify, however the video does NOT show "removing" these; it only shows not using them in the future.

I'm using Windows XP, so I don't think that would be my problem.

When I go back and look at the 94170014 XML file the V5 patch is there, but the mods don't show up when I load the new BIN file in ECUflash.

btw the above attached file has endians for 1.30 or whatever, BUT, the tables should still show up, they will just look weird.

First, make sure the tables show up in your ecuflash with that xml. If they do then, joy to the world. Then go in and change all the endians.

Also, you need to use the .hex / bin file that for 94170014 that is in the first post of this thread. You *cannot* use a different 94170014 file, as it doesnt have the mods done to it. This could be another reason why you cant see the tables.

YOU HAVE TO USE THE 94170014.hex file supplied by tephra.

Thanks for trying to help me out, Razor.

I copied the file you posted into the Mitsu\EVO directory in ECUflash.

And, I opened the 94170014-v5.1-mods.bin file from post #1 of this thread in ECUflash.

The mods still don't show up in ECUflash.

Ok, in EcuFlash, click on "options", then select "MetaData Directory", is the path shown the path to where you are putting your XML files?
