the clicking sound could be any number of things, relays for turning things on/off.

does the clicking happen on your stock ROM?

Problem with v5.5
I switch my ECU from 88840016 with mrfred boostcontrol mod (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=288408
to V5.5
I change the follow lines in the xml file (88840017 other place for MUT):

<table name="MUT8A" category="MUT" address="37B6E" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

<table name="MUT8B" category="MUT" address="37B72" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

I change the values in MUT E3 & 83 to log ALT Map & Alt Map Volt

now the Problems:
1. MUT E3 0,195V & 83=255 dont change the Values when i use the AltMapSwitch( checked with Voltmeter off=0V and on=4,11v)

2. Boostcontrol dont work (look at the EvoscanImage)

can you log 0x8425 for me?

does your ICS light flash when on altmaps (not sur eif 88840017 has ICS light)

are you using the altmap harness or autoics?

can you post a picture of your tephramods options + altmap settings?

I uploaded rom 90550001 onto my JDM evo7 that originally had 98640014. Initially all seemed well and i could switch valet mode on and off. I drove off and hit a rev limit of about 4.5k not in valet mode! i changed my normal rev limit to 8k and tried again but the same happened. Am i doing something wrong or is this rom not compatible?

cheers, Jamie

My ecu used to be the same id as yours, and I use the 90550001 on it now.

But this did happen to me once in the past.

I was messing with the ALS tables flashed the rom into the car, and all seemed fine till I got to around 4.5k and nearly went through the screen.

Ended up flashing the previous map into it again and all was fine.

Would you mind emailing me your rom so I can take a look at it (as I formatted my laptop since and can't find that "dodgy" map now).

Be 200% sure you aren't triggering the NLTS feature with your clutch pedal switch. Having your shoe simply touching the pedal while you are at WOT can trigger the NLTS and it feels exactly like fuel cut or boost cut.

Maybe but its a jdm 7 and i think i only have one clutch switch wich is at the bottom which also means i dont think i can have nlts. Just spoken with cossie and i think it might be something to do with my stationary rev limit. Im going to start again with a fresh map and see what happens. I believe the stat rev limit doesnt apply on 7's so i shouldnt have changed it...

It doesn't work on a 6 with a 7 ecu.

As there is no clutch switch at all on a 6.

It might work on a 7, but seems odd that you adjusted the stat rev limiter and had the same thing happen as I had

With mine, simply changing the stat rev limiter back to the default (5000) didn't make the problem go away, I had to switch back to a map that hadn't had the stat rev limiter touched.

More than a coincidence I think.

Gpunkt - can you use something other than E3, I am not sure that the ECU can read MUT's that high.

just overwrite MUT00 for the time being!

Jim I have had cases previously where people where copying their MAPs to the new ROM and overwriting code by accident.

I'm having some issues trying to get the map switching on 94170014 which replaced the "08" rom on my 2003 while trying to log the trigger in EVOScan... I'm just getting the value 255.

I'm only have half way through this thread so maybe I missed something. I don't actually have the ICS tank/sprayer in the car but I do have the switch hooked up and I see the indicator on my gauge cluster so it appears to be functional.

EDIT: Also I just have the ignition on... the car is not running or moving. I think I'm going to order the "switch" thing and wire it up... I'd rather have light/led indicator anyways.

log 0x8425, not sure why most people are using MUTE3 for this.

Just overwrite MUT00 until you know its working properly..

Appears to be working now although there is still an issue with me logging the map switching in evoscan.

I had the load threshould set to 0 and the time was 10ms. Changed load to 50 and ms to 50 and now when I hold the ICS switch the ICS light in the cluster blinks.. which leads me to believe it's now switching maps

It works for me, I didn't try atlmap yet but boostcontrol is ok. Try to redo a new map copying your tables on a fresh 88840017 V5.5.
